“. . .We are the 5th most corrupt state; 5th highest state in foreclosures; 1st in gas and corporate taxes. Thanks to the lack of legislative oversight, the PSERS lost $15.8 billion since 06/2007, and the SERS lost $8.3 billion. Yes, Harrisburg has become one of the largest casinos in the country, gambling with the taxpayers’ money and obviously losing, because they always need more. . .” Rich Shucker

US House of Representatives,

Boehner’s imminent removal is just the beginning, now senior and influential GOP party leaders in some states are trying to remove more of these gutless RINO cowards from the GOP.  Don’t try to sneak a RINO back in the Speaker of the House leadership position!

If the GOP Speaker of the House nominee is a strong conservative candidate willing to uphold and defend the constitution then ‘we the people’ will be on-board in force.  Just a ‘hint’, Rep McCarthy is not an acceptable nominee…he is simply extension of the Boehner “establishment”.

Just remember, ‘insanity is committing the same mistake over and over and continuing to expect a different result’

Larry Denver, of Faith and Freedom Coalition of PA will join us as speaker for the evening. Larry led our successful “Prayer in the Park” rally in September.

He was born and raised in Montgomery County, and served in the US Navy during Vietnam. After many years in California and “on the move”, Larry and his wife, Alyce, returned to PA to run his business. After working with a successful grassroots organization in Southern ChesCo, where he taught several educational programs, including the U.S. Constitution and Emergency Preparedness classes, he help to found the Faith and Freedom Coalition PA. Larry and the organization believe that we are at a “tipping point” in our country’s future. He says, “being free takes courage, sacrifice, and is not convenient”. Come on out and learn more.

There will also be an open mic discussion on the future of the Valley Forge Patriots and where we should take the organization, especially with elections coming up.

From our September meeting, we sent 32 letters to our legislators on our stand against Planned Parenthood funding.  Thank you for Jthis effort. More to do on this!!

We have two efforts ongoing with our legislator outreach program.  Camille Heppard is work on obtaining a meeting with Senator Pat Toomey and Lucy Tscherne is working on followup with Pat Meehan on Planned Parenthood funding.

Lots of work to do folks.  We need your help.  Join us on Oct. 9th

RT: “Russian parliament unanimously approves use of military in Syria to fight ISIS”

The request for use of force was sent by the president after considering the large number of citizens of Russia and neighboring countries, who went to join terrorist groups

The upper chamber of the Russian parliament has unanimously given a formal consent to President Putin to use the nation’s military in Syria to fight terrorism at a request from the Syrian President Bashar Assad.

“Consent was necessary for use of the country’s military for foreign combat missions under the Russian constitution.

“The request for use of force was sent by the president after considering the large number of citizens of Russia and neighboring countries, who went to join terrorist groups fighting in Syria, head of the presidential administration Sergey Ivanov told media. There are thousands of them, and Russia’s national security would be under threat, should they return home, he added.

“‘This is not about reaching for some foreign policy goals, satisfying ambitions, which our Western partners regularly accuse us of. It’s only about the national interest of the Russian Federation,’ the official said. . .”

LEADS . . .

Todd Wood, Washington Times: “ISIS planning ‘nuclear tsunami’”

“Nuclear annihilation across the globe. This is what a German reporter who successfully embedded with the Islamic State says the terror group is planning. Jurgen Todenhofer released his findings in a book titled “Inside IS – Ten Days in the Islamic State,” reports the UK’s Daily Express.

“‘The terrorists plan on killing several hundred million people. The west is drastically underestimating the power of ISIS. ISIS intends to get its hands on nuclear weapons,’ says Todenhofer, calling the group a ‘nuclear tsunami preparing the largest religious cleansing in history.’

“‘They now control land greater in size than the United Kingdom and are supported by an almost ecstatic enthusiasm the like of which I’ve never encountered before in a war zone. Every day hundreds of willing fighters from all over the world come. They are the most brutal and most dangerous enemy I have ever seen in my life. I don’t see anyone who has a real chance to stop them. Only Arabs can stop IS. I came back very pessimistic.’ . . .”

Judson Berger, Fox: “Green Beret discharged for shoving accused Afghan rapist speaks out”

“EXCLUSIVE: A Green Beret ordered discharged after he and his team leader body-slammed an alleged Afghan child rapist is speaking out against the Army’s effort to punish him, as he fights to stay in the service.

“‘Kicking me out of the Army is morally wrong and the entire country knows it,’ Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland said, in his first public statement on his case.

“The detailed written statement, requested by Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., was shared by the congressman’s office with Hunter, who has advocated on Martland’s behalf, intends to submit the statement to the House Armed Services Committee.

Steven Dennis, Roll Call: “Kevin McCarthy Gives Boehner B-, Credits Benghazi Committee for Hurting Hillary Clinton’s Poll Numbers”

Seems to me that McCarthy has an inherent conflict of interest – a conservative bloc and a liberal voter population . . .

“. . . Hannity opened the interview with a poll showing 60 percent of Republican voters feel betrayed by their GOP in Congress, and said he’s one of them.

“‘I’m one of them too,’ said Majority Leader McCarthy of California.

“McCarthy touted a new reconciliation bill aimed at dismantling Obamacare, which will only need 51 votes in the Senate to reach President Barack Obama’s desk, where it will surely be vetoed.

“And he took more than one shot at the Senate GOP.

“‘The Senate can’t change a nuclear option to protect a nuclear-free world?’ he asked incredulously, referring to the unwillingness of Senate Republicans to end the filibuster rule in an effort to defeat the Iran nuclear deal. (That, by the way, would also have resulted in vetobait.)

“Hannity also challenged McCarthy to grade Boehner, noting that the national debt is up $4.1 trillion since he took the gavel and $209 billion has been spent on Obamacare.

“McCarthy touted the declining deficit.

“Pressed again to give Boehner a grade, McCarthy gave him a B-.

“‘Aw, come on,’ Hannity said.

“‘He won a majority, we’ve got a higher margin than we’ve ever had, we’ve lowered the deficit,’ McCarthy said, before pointing to the Senate’s inability to move Republican bills, including hundreds of bills already passed by the GOP House.

“Hannity also tried to commit McCarthy to defunding Obamacare, Planned Parenthood and executive amnesty. McCarthy said he would, but was not pressed on whether he would do so even if it led to a government shutdown. . .”

Bret Stephens, WSJ: “An Unteachable President”

“For Obama, it isn’t the man in the arena who counts. It’s the speaker on the stage.

“. . . Recall that it wasn’t long ago that Mr. Obama took a sunnier view of world affairs. The tide of war was receding. Al Qaeda was on a path to defeat. ISIS was “a jayvee team” in “Lakers uniforms.” Iraq was an Obama administration success story. Bashar Assad’s days were numbered. The Arab Spring was a rejoinder to, rather than an opportunity for, Islamist violence. The intervention in Libya was vindication for the “lead from behind” approach to intervention. The reset with Russia was a success, a position he maintained as late as September 2013. In Latin America, the “trend lines are good.”

“Overall,” as he told Tom Friedman in August 2014—shortly after ISIS had seized control of Mosul and as Vladimir Putin was muscling his way into eastern Ukraine—“I think there’s still cause for optimism.”

“It’s a remarkable record of prediction. One hundred percent wrong. . .”

PP. . .

Susan Page & Paulina Firozi, USAToday: “Poll: By 2-1, funding for Planned Parenthood supported”

“WASHINGTON — Some congressional Republicans remain determined to cut off federal funding for Planned Parenthood, but a nationwide USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds Americans back government support for the group by more than 2-1.

John McCormack, Weekly Std: “How Not to Make Planned Parenthood Squirm”

“At the beginning of a five-hour committee hearing on Tuesday with Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards as the sole witness, Chairman Jason Chaffetz made a surprising announcement. The Utah congressman and oversight committee chairman said he wouldn’t focus on the undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood’s practice of harvesting and selling the organs and tissue of aborted babies to biotech companies.

“‘I’ve allowed great latitude to members, they can ask what they want to ask, but the focus of what we’re doing today is how this organization is funded and how they spend their money,’ Chaffetz said. His rationale for focusing on Planned Parenthood’s finances was that all of the undercover videos have not yet been released because a California judge has imposed a temporary restraining order. ‘The first step is seeing all the videos. All the videos,’ Chaffetz said. . .”

James Brody: A Girl’s Poker Chips

Women and men are both active in choosing partners for having and rearing children. And women used to have father’s shotgun if a tryst made a pregnancy. No longer true but the game of sex-for-commitment is still played. The most addictive, convincing substance is oxytocin, released after a really fine romp. Abortion is her back-up plan for losing a loser’s child; it is also helps him to make his partner less reluctant open her sugar-shaker.

There is a second piece: you have to divide most contestants into “impulsive” or “cautious.” The impulsive make rash decisions, act on whimsy, and later face their choices for getting out of trouble. The impulsive tend, statistically, to be less educated, poorer, and black. Margaret Sanger may have intended her child as a rescuer for the impulsive and for the affluent who paid taxes.

Personally, I think shotguns were a better choice . . .

DONALD . . .

Jim Geraghty, NRO: “Donald Trump & Sarah Palin: the Oddest of Political Couples”

“‘Jerry, how much do you think Lorne Michaels would pay me if I were to run in 2016?’ Sarah Palin asked Jerry Seinfeld in a skit that aired as part of Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary special in February.

“‘Run for president? Sarah, I don’t think there’s a number too big,’ Seinfeld responded.

“‘Hypothetically, then, what if I were to choose Donald Trump as my running mate?’ Palin continued.

“‘Sarah, you’re teasing us, that’s not nice!’ Seinfeld responded in mock indignation.

“Eight months ago, the idea of Donald Trump appearing on a GOP presidential ticket was literally the punchline of a joke. Today, Trump is the front-runner for the Republican nomination, and arguably the field’s most natural successor to Palin, who has enthusiastically aided his campaign. “It’s hard to imagine a more improbable alliance. . .

Chris Spargo, UK Daily Mail: “Donald Trump calls Putin better leader than Obama and admits he has to grow up to get Republican nomination after he ends his week-long self-imposed exile from Fox News”

–          Donald Trump appeared on The O’Reilly Factor Thursday night a week after his self-imposed exile from Fox News

–          Trump praised Vladmir Putin and his leadership on the program, saying he was far better than President Obama

–          He also acknowledged that he will need to mature to secure the Republican nomination next

–          Trump then made an apology for calling fellow candidate Marco Rubio a ‘clown’

Charles Hurt, Washington Times: “Teflon Don’ morphs into a real candidate”

“First they ignored him. Then they mocked him. Then they tried tearing him down.

With each failure to destroy Donald Trump, the political experts and establishment stooges only made him stronger. And now they don’t have a clue what to do.

“Those in Washington who still think a Donald Trump presidency is preposterous or absurd have only themselves to blame for creating an environment that has made it so easy for the swashbuckling, smack-talking businessman to rise so effortlessly to the top of the heap.

“It turns out that not only does the man enjoy very high energy, he also has incredible stamina. His staying power is a-MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZ-ing. Mr. Trump is outlasting all of his harshest critics and is now outlasting some of the surest favorites running for the Republican nomination.

Donald Trump, WSJ: “Tax Reform for Security and Prosperity”

“Four tax brackets: 0%, 10%, 20% and 25%. No marriage penalty, no alternative minimum tax.

“In particular, I am proposing ending the current treatment of carried interest for hedge funds and other speculative partnerships that do not grow businesses or create jobs.

“The first goal of the plan will be to provide tax relief. If you are a single person making less than $25,000 or married or filing jointly and earning less than $50,000, you will not owe any income tax. This will remove some 75 million households from the income-tax rolls.

“Second, the tax code will be simplified. Instead of multiple tax brackets with multiple variations, there will be only four brackets: 0%, 10%, 20% and 25%. This new code eliminates the marriage penalty and the alternative minimum tax while providing the lowest tax rates since before World War II. Further, this plan eliminates the death tax, thus allowing families to keep what has been earned.

The proposed policies will allow the middle class to keep most of their deductions while eliminating many of the deductions for the very rich. With more money in middle-class pockets, consumer spending will increase, college savings will grow and personal debt will decline.

“Third, we need to grow the American economy. For the past seven years, the economy has been at a virtual standstill. Growth in the gross domestic product of less than 2% a year is pathetic. We need to spur production, bring home jobs and make it easier to invest in America.

“My plan states that any business of any size will pay no more than 15% of its business income in taxes. This low rate will make corporate inversions unnecessary and will make America one of the most competitive markets in the world. This plan will also require companies with capital offshore to bring that money back to the U.S. at a repatriation rate of only 10%. Right now, the money is not being brought back because the tax is so high.

“Finally, this plan will not add to our deficits or to the national debt. . . “

PA . . .

Rich Shucker, CAP: “Guest Post: Will Harrisburg Ever Fix the Pension Crisis?”

“. . . the taxpayers have two legislators standing up for them. They have proposed bills to fix this financial disaster and stop some of the theft of the taxpayer’s money. Republican John McGinnis who has a Ph.D. in Finance, and Democrat Thomas Caltagirone have proposed three pieces of legislation between them with one being jointly introduced.

“On March 26, 2015, Tom Caltagirone introduced HB 845 on a Public Pensions Code of Ethics. Since March, only eight cosponsors have signed onto the legislation. The bill was referred to Committee on State Government. That’s where it sits, thanks to weak leadership.

“On July 9, 2015, John McGinnis, and Caltagirone introduced HB 1400 to improve the management standards for SERS and PSERS. The bill has fifteen cosponsors and was referred to Committee on State Government, where it languishes.

On May 17, 2015, John McGinnis Proposed HB 900, Subject: Repayment of Pension Debt; received 21 cosponsors, was referred to Committee on State Government.

So what can a taxpayer, living in the 5th most corrupt state in America, do?

“The first step is getting involved, finding the truth and confronting the legislators about the issues that matter to you. The taxpayers are in luck. Representatives Tom Caltagirone and John McGinnis will be presenting to the Lehigh Valley Project 9-12 Tea Party Group on October 2, 2015, from 7:00-9:00 P.M., at the Charles Chrin Community Center in Easton.

“Their presentation will be an excellent opportunity to learn about Pennsylvania’s pension issues and what lawmakers must do to fix the problems.”

Mark Levin (9/29/15)

“On Tuesday’s Mark Levin Show: President Obama has built nothing since becoming president. Instead he’s used everything that was built before him to tear down America by institution lasting, destructive policies illegally. He’s getting away with it because we have the worst leadership ever in both parties, and only a handful of Senators that fight for what Americans believe in. Sen. Ted Cruz is leading the fight and he’s despised for not marching to the beat of the GOP establishment drum. Republicans have voted over and over again to fund Obama’s corrupt agenda. Anyone opposed to funding his agenda is considered a radical or an extremist, things that are never said about people like Obama or Bernie Sanders or Nancy Pelosi. If the Republican party has become the no nothing do nothing party, and if they won’t stand and fight for the Republic, what good are they?

“Also, it’s interesting how our enemies are working together not to defeat ISIS, but to defeat us. red China, fascist Russia, and the Islamo-nazis are scheming in the Middle East and playing the long game; we’re not even in the game.

“Later, Mark is joined by Captain Daniel Quinn to talk about him and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland being reprimanded for body-slamming an alleged Afghan child rapist.”
