Will YOU HELP THE 15 HOMELESS VETERAN ENCAMPMENTS IN BUCKS, COUNTY, PA, AS WELL AS 1 IN VALLEY FORGE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK???
This Sunday afternoon, June 26, from 1 until 3p.m., we will once again be teaming up with our neighbors, the Valley Forge Patriots, in front of the Wells Fargo Bank at Route 202 North and Mall Blvd. (between the Plaza and the Court at the King of Prussia Mall) to collect MUCH needed gently used summer clothing, non-perishable/non-expired food and beverages, and toiletries for these heroes that the government bureaucracy let slip through the pages of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Salute2Service has reached out to us in dire need for these items.
Please stop by for a few minutes out of your busy day to donate anything at all. Nothing is too small. Checks can be made out to Salute2Service or Citizens for Liberty, in any denomination that you feel most comfortable in offering. Meet us, say hello, and meet the director, Rodney Wyatt, of this organization that deals directly with these men and women. Even a few children have been known to be in these woods.
Bottled water and donuts will be served.
We also have our BlueLivesMatter wristbands from Saturday at our Upper Merion Township Police/PA State Troopers event that was a huge success at this very same location. We are selling them at the reduced price of only $2.00 each. Please show your support to these men and women who often go unappreciated.

The bill’s known as the Transgender “Bathroom” bills working their way through the system. They are HB 1510, SB 974, SB 1306, and SB 1307. These bills will allow men who self identify as women free access to women’s bathrooms, shower and changing facilities.
This applies to both public and private facilities. This includes schools and locker rooms used by our children every day.
We met with both supporters and opponents and discussed common sense ideas on how to deal with this subject. Unfortunately, common sense is in short supply in Harrisburg.
We delivered a very well written position letter provided by FFC National to all the offices we visited (attached).
It is up to each and every one of us to have our voices heard. We must take a moment and contact our Representatives and Senators and let them know what you think about this most important subject. You can look yours up here.
On Monday, June 27, the Pa. family council will be holding a state rally in the capitol building rotunda. They are providing bus transportation from 5 different areas in Penna. Go to www.pafamily.org for sign up information.
If not us, who? If not now, when?

BREXIT . . .
Steve Erlanger, NYT: “Britain Votes to Leave E.U.; Cameron Plans to Step Down”
“LONDON — Britain has voted to leave the European Union, a historic decision sure to reshape the nation’s place in the world, rattle the Continent and rock political establishments throughout the West.
“Not long after the vote tally was completed, Prime Minister David Cameron, who led the campaign to remain in the bloc, appeared in front of 10 Downing Street to announce that he planned to step down by October, saying the country deserved a leader committed to carrying out the will of the people.
“The stunning turn of events was accompanied by a plunge in the financial markets, with the value of the British pound and stock prices plummeting.
“The margin of victory startled even proponents of a British exit. The “Leave” campaign won by 52 percent to 48 percent. More than 17.4 million people voted in the referendum on Thursday to sever ties with the European Union, and about 16.1 million to remain in the bloc. . .”
David Pryce-Jones, NRO: “Why Britain Was Right to Leave”
The British have risen to the occasion, and voted to leave the European Union. They were offered the choice to remain the people they always had been, or to throw in their lot irrevocably with other people. Prime Minister David Cameron and many Conservatives, the Labour Jeremy Corbyn and almost the whole parliamentary opposition, the trades unions, the BBC (and how!), the banks and corporations, President Obama and a myriad of other opinion-makers, all applied pressure to stay in the EU, and took every possible measure, underhand or not, to fix the vote in their favor. To leave the EU, they hammered, would mean disaster on the scale of the biblical plagues God inflicted on Egypt.
“And it hasn’t worked, it couldn’t work. The EU was a good idea in 1945, but it has long outlived its initial purpose of reconciling Germany and France. What stands out is that heads of state and politicians in Europe have been surreptitiously building a much wider political entity. Voters are not asked for their consent. Absence of legitimacy is the EU’s main feature. Since there is no procedure for the democratic right to throw out the [expletive deleted], the EU has developed into something never seen before in the world, an oligarchy with soft totalitarian symptoms. Conflicting national interests and global economic factors lead inexorably to the hardening of these totalitarian symptoms.
Donald Trump, “STATEMENT REGARDING BRITISH REFERENDUM ON E.U. MEMBERSHIP”
“The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration.
“Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again.”

SCOTUS . . .
Mark Sherman, AP: “OBAMA IMMIGRATION PLAN BLOCKED BY 4-4 TIE AT SUPREME COURT”
“WASHINGTON (AP) — A tie vote by the Supreme Court is blocking President Barack Obama’s immigration plan that sought to shield millions living in the U.S. illegally from deportation.
“The justices’ one-sentence opinion on Thursday effectively kills the plan for the duration of Obama’s presidency.
“A tie vote sets no national precedent but leaves in place the ruling by the lower court. In this case, the federal appeals court in New Orleans said the Obama administration lacked the authority to shield up to 4 million immigrants from deportation and make them eligible for work permits without approval from Congress.
“Texas led 26 Republican-dominated states in challenging the program Obama announced in November 2014. Congressional Republicans also backed the states’ lawsuit. . . .”
Also – Stephen Dinan, Washington Times: “Obama: Most illegals still won’t be deported”
“President Obama said most illegal immigrants still won’t be deported, even after the Supreme Court’s tie ruling Thursday upheld an injunction on his broader deportation amnesty.
“Mr. Obama rushed to assure illegal immigrants with ties to the U.S. that they are ‘low priorities,’ even though they will not be able to get the work permits and taxpayer benefits his ‘deferred action’ program had promised.
“And he said the 4-4 tie was more evidence for the need to confirm Judge Merrick Garland, his pick to succeed the late Justice Antonin Scalia, to the high court.
“Speaking less than two hours after the court’s ruling, Mr. Obama said it ‘takes us further from the country we aspire to be,’ and delays a solution to a broken system that has allowed an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants to arrive and settle here.
“The president also challenged voters to punish those who want stricter enforcement of immigration laws. . .”
Also – Will Weissert, AP:” Ruling delights conservatives, leaves larger issues in limbo”
“WHAT’S NEXT – Obama’s plan was close to implementation when U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in the Texas-Mexico border city of Brownsville issued a February 2015 injunction that prompted the Supreme Court ruling.
“The case now returns to Hanen, setting up arguments on the broader legality of the White House’s efforts, which eventually could be appealed and in front of the Supreme Court again. By that time, the next president likely will have nominated a successor for Justice Antonin Scalia, who died earlier this year, meaning the case will have a majority ruling that can set legal precedent. . .”
Robert Barnes, WaPo: “Supreme Court upholds University of Texas affirmative action admissions”
“The Supreme Court on Thursday said University of Texas admission officials may consider the race of student applicants in a limited way to build a diverse student body.
“The 4-to-3 decision was a surprising win for advocates of affirmative action, who say the benefits of diversity at the nation’s colleges and universities are worth the intrusion on the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection that generally forbids the government from making decisions based on racial classifications.
“‘The University of Texas at Austin has a special opportunity to learn and to teach’ others about how to achieve diversity, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote in the court’s majority opinion. . .”
Also – Clark Minnock, International Business Times: “‘Affirmative Action Gone Wild’: Read Justice Alito’s 50-Page Dissent About The University Of Texas”
“Advocates for affirmative action in the United States secured a major victory Thursday as the Supreme Court of the United States upheld the constitutionality of the controversial program. Thecourt concluded that, under the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution, affirmative action is legal.
“Abigail Fisher, the plaintiff in the case and a white woman, said the University of Texas at Austin had considered race in the admissions process and that she was therefore at a disadvantage because she is white.
“When Fisher applied in 2008, she failed to meet the cutoff for automatic admission into the school, which was offered only to the top 10 percent the graduating class that year. Fisher had a 3.59 GPA and a 1180 out of 1600 on her SAT. Since she missed that top mark, she had to compete for 841 additional spots that were reserved for students who weren’t in the top tier.
“In his dissent, Justice Samuel Alito — joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Clarence Thomas — argued that the University of Texas hadn’t shown ‘compelling interests’ to justify their reliance on race to accept minority students and that the school only considered the number of minority students — not other qualifications or concerns. He wrote that “something strange” had happened since the court first considered the case in 2013. At the time, the court said the school should show that compelling interest; Alito argued that the court is now showing deference to the school instead. . .”
Sam Hananel, AP: “HIGH COURT STRIKES LIMITS [sic] DRUNK DRIVING TEST LAWS”
“WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday placed new limits on state laws that make it a crime for motorists suspected of drunken driving to refuse alcohol tests.
“The justices ruled that police must obtain a search warrant before requiring drivers to take blood alcohol tests, but not breath tests, which the court considers less intrusive. . .”
AP: “HIGH COURT LIMITS USE OF REPEAT OFFENDER LAW”
“WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is making it tougher for federal prosecutors to seek longer prison terms for people convicted of repeated violent crimes.
“The justices ruled 5-3 Thursday that lower courts are limited in how they can consider prior state crimes for purposes of increasing sentences under the federal Armed Career Criminal Act.
The court sided with Richard Mathis, who pleaded guilty to a federal weapons charge. He received a 15-year sentence – five more than he otherwise would have gotten – because of prior state convictions for burglary.
“Mathis argued that Iowa burglary laws are broader than federal ones. But a federal appeals court said it could look beyond the elements of the state law to see whether Mathis’ conduct would have violated federal burglary law. . .”
Coral Davenport, NY Times: “Obama Fracking Rule Is Struck Down by Court”
“. . . Judge Scott W. Skavdahl of Federal District Court in Wyoming ruled that the Interior Department lacked the authority from Congress to issue the regulation, and also noted that fracking was already subject to other regulations under state and federal law. . .”
PA . . .
Leo Knepper, CAP: “Good News and Bad News on the State Budget”
“News about the 2016-2017 budget negotiations is starting to trickle out of the Capitol. The good news is that Governor Wolf has dropped his demands for increases in the sales and personal income tax. His original budget request was completely detached from reality and included an eleven percent retroactive personal income tax increase. The Governor’s willingness to move away from his original fantasy budget is a step in the right direction.
“The bad news is that members of the House and Senate are talking about increasing state spending by over $1 billion this year. To put that number into perspective, budget growth indexed to population growth and inflation would mean an increase of $300 million in spending, a massive disparity.
“With broad-based tax increases off the table, you’re probably wondering how the General Assembly plans on funding a renewed spending spree.
“There are two main funding options under serious consideration. The first option is an expansion of gambling and allowing new forms of gambling in the Commonwealth. Details on what exactly this would look like are sketchy, but it could include fantasy sports, “video gaming terminals” at bars and other venues, and other online gambling. According to media reports, the expansion of gambling could net the state an additional $250 million to $400 million in revenue.
“The second major funding source being discussed is a $1 increase on the tax paid per pack of cigarettes, tax increases on other tobacco products, and a tax on electronic cigarettes. These changes would purportedly bring in nearly $500 million per year to the state coffers. However, that revenue figure should be taken with a grain of salt. As the Commonwealth Foundation noted in their write-up on the subject, there is a host of problems associated with higher tobacco taxes that would decrease revenue, increase the appeal of cigarette purchases made on the black market, and incentivize smuggling.
“Despite a report from rank and file members of the House and Senate detailing $3 billion in potential savings and significant changes to the budgeting process, “leadership” appears to be content in maintaining an unsustainable spending trajectory. Rather than addressing corporate welfare, the mandated cost increases associated with prevailing wage, or any number of other ways to reduce government waste, the General Assembly appears to be content to find new ways of extracting more money from hard working Pennsylvanians.
“Please, contact your Representative and Senator today and tell them it’s time to get their priorities in order.”
Sy Snyder, PoliticsPA: “6/24 Ups & Downs”
“Chaka Fattah. This week Congressman Chaka Fattah was finally forced to face the music. On Tuesday, he was convicted on all 29 counts. Wednesday, he floated a trial balloon to try and stay for a few more months. Instead, he was pushed to resign immediately on Thursday. Fattah’s epic fall from grace is now nearly complete as he awaits his sentencing hearing on October 4th.
Donald Trump. According to the new Quinnipiac Poll, Hillary Clinton is leading in Pennsylvania, but only by a single point. Two days later,Sabato moved PA from ‘Likely Democratic’ to ‘Lean Democratic’, making it the only state that is trending towards the presumptive Republican nominee. All the while, we’re left to wonder why Hillary Clinton isn’t treating PA as a swing state. To top it all off, it appears Bernie Sanders supporters are preparing to be jailed in Philly during the DNC. The Democrats can’t afford to look divided next month.
Katie McGinty. This week’s Quinnipiac Poll contained some terrible news for the Senate Democratic nominee. McGinty trailed incumbent Pat Toomey by nine points, 49% to 40%. That’s a significant setback compared to last month when Toomey’s lead was just one. Additionally, it was revealed that the Koch Brothers’ group Americans for Prosperityis already on the ground doing fieldwork according to the Washington Post. She doesn’t have to panic yet but can’t afford to fall much farther behind.
Barack Obama. The President’s approval rating in Pennsylvania was sagging for much of his second term. As the 2016 election nears, though, his numbers have been steadily improving. The latest Quinnipiac Poll showed that Pres. Obama approval is at last above water at 51%. There is now a good chance that the President will be campaigning in the Keystone State this year for Hillary Clinton and even the down-ballot candidates. Few Chief Executives have been fortunate enough to be able to advocate for their chosen successor.
Eric Papenfuse. We’ve decided to give the Harrisburg Mayor a down arrow every week until he lifts his ridiculous ban of PennLive. On Monday, the Mayor continued to embarrass himself by only answering PennLive’s questions when other reporters asked them. Finally, just as an aside, the next time you want to taken a stand for seriousness in public discourse maybe take off the lei and put down the water ice.
LEADS . . .
Rushbo: “Finally a Republican (Other Than Me) Tells the Truth About Hillary Clinton”
“. . . He came out and he said of Hillary Clinton, “She is the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency.” The most corrupt person to ever seek the presidency. He said things like, “For the amount of money Hillary Clinton would spend on refugees, we could rebuild every inner city in America.” He made it clear to anybody watching that Mrs. Clinton’s policies, which are an echo of Barack Obama’s policies, are gonna continue to wreak havoc and damage on America’s minorities.
“These things are just not said. You gotta… I mean, you and I say them, everybody else says them, but in official campaigns where the Clintons are involved, nobody goes this far with them. And you know it as well as I do. We’ve always wondered why for 27 years. “What are people afraid of? Why do they always pull back?” Well, Trump didn’t pull back much today. He pointed out all of the money that she gets from these Islamic states that execute gays and LGBT people.
“And he used one of my favorite talking points about all the money she made in two years delivering speeches to the banks. I think that’s powerful, because I think so many Democrat voters think that the banks and Wall Street and CEOs are wedded to the GOP. “The GOP is the party of the rich! Bankers are obviously rich. Wall Streeters are obviously rich,” and Trump made it clear as a bell today that it’s the Democrat Party in bed with the banks. So you wonder if time low-information people see this.
“By the time Millennials — who are thinking they’re gonna vote for Hillary just ’cause it’s a cool thing to do. By the time they see this, is it gonna open anybody’s eyes? We don’t know. Time will tell. Trump made it clear throughout this speech that he’s with the American people. Everything he does… In fact, that was a very strong beginning to his speech, why he even wants to be president. He said, “People have asked me why I’m running. Well, I’ve built an amazing business I love. I get to work side by side with my children every day.
“‘We come to work together, we turn visions into reality, we think big, we make it happen. I love what I do. I’m grateful beyond words to the nation that’s allowed me to do it. So when people ask me why I’m running, I answer, ‘I’m running to give back to this country which has been so good to me.’ . . .”
Janet Adamy & Paul Overberg, WSJ: “Population of Nonwhites Grows”
“White Americans no longer account for the majority in hundreds of counties across the U.S
“White Americans no longer account for the majority in hundreds of counties across the U.S., a trend transforming America’s social and political landscape as Latinos, Asians and blacks outpace white population growth, according to census figures out Thursday.
“In 370 counties across 36 states and the District of Columbia, non-Hispanic whites accounted for less than half the population as of July 2015. That includes 31 additional counties since 2010, such as those encompassing Fort Worth and Austin in Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Savannah, Ga.; and parts of suburban Atlanta and Sacramento, Calif.
“Of the nation’s 3,142 counties, the so-called minority majority ones—12% of the total—represent an outsize chunk of the U.S. population since they are home to almost one-third of Americans.
“The new figures point to a widening racial generation gap. While three-quarters of Americans age 55 and older are white, just 56% of those 18 to 34 are white, and only slightly more than half of minors are white, according to William Frey, a Brookings Institution demographer.
“These shifts will shape who wins this year’s elections, with Democrats benefiting from the growth of minorities since Latinos, blacks and Asians are more likely to vote Democratic. In several battleground states, including Florida, Nevada and New Mexico, the racial generation gap is even wider than in the rest of the country. . .”

Kit Daniels, Info Wars: “TRUMP LAUNCHES LYINGCROOKEDHILLARY.COM”
LyingCrookedHillary.com is rolling out a list of Hillary lies over time, and the first lie listed is “Hillary Lies to Benghazi Families.”
“‘Hillary has no shame! The Benghazi attacks were a preventable tragedy disgraced further by Hillary’s web of lies,’ the site published by Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. states. ‘She knew within hours that the attacks in Benghazi were a terrorist attack, and not a spontaneous protest due to a You Tube Video, but she lied anyways.’
“‘She stood in front of the flag-draped coffins of four Americans that died serving their country and peddled the lie that the video was to blame both to the victims’ families and the American public.’
Trump, however, doesn’t have to do much to paint Hillary as ‘crooked;’ a Gallup poll revealed that a huge portion of Americans – not just Trump supporters – view Hillary as a ‘liar.’”
Mark Levin (06/23/16)
“On Thursday’s Mark Levin show, The Supreme Court had a 4-4 split decision on immigration today which nullified Obama’s immigration plan. But this issue isn’t even about immigration, it’s about the separation of powers. Does a President have the power to legislate? The problem isn’t the immigration statutes either, but the politicians who won’t enforce them. If Hillary Clinton becomes President she will nullify immigration laws and refuse to uphold her duty as president to enforce them. Politicians should remember that immigration to the U.S. is not for the rest of the world but for America.
“The Court also decided in favor of the University of Texas, Affirmative Action plan in a 5-3 vote. As a result, diversity will now be compelled in college classrooms. These Justices voted for discrimination in violation of the 14th amendment equal protection clause. There is no way the Founders would agree with what they are doing on the Supreme Court today.
“Later, the case against Officer Caesar Goodson Jr. was never a case and is more likely a case brought by Communist regimes. The prosecutor made a political speech and wanted to charge the officer involved in the Freddie Gray case with the worst possible crimes. The judge acquitted the officer and delivered a broad rebuke of case being brought without evidence.
