“. . .conservative generals, focused as they were almost exclusively on politics, failed to detect the persistent erosion of their ranks. They misinterpreted voters’ frustrations at a stagnant economy and middle-class and working-class angst as latent support for a conservative agenda, counting on an army that turned out not to exist.” David French
HILLARY . . .
For 100,000 years or more, women have lied to men to get food and protection. It’s one of those instinctive things that can account for women’s supporting Hillary and men lie & bluster to get more women . . . Check Robert Wright, (1995) The Moral Animal.
Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: “WOW! BREAKING=> Julian Assange Suggests Seth Rich – Who Was MURDERED in DC – Was Wikileaks DNC Source!”
“On July 8, 2016, 27 year-old Democratic staffer Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in Washington DC. The killer or killers took nothing from their victim, leaving behind his wallet, watch and phone.
“Shortly after the killing, Redditors and social media users were pursuing a “lead” saying that Rich was en route to the FBI the morning of his murder, apparently intending to speak to special agents about an “ongoing court case” possibly involving the Clinton family.
“Seth Rich’s father Joel told reporters, “If it was a robbery — it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his money — he still has his credit cards, still had his phone so it was a wasted effort except we lost a life.”
Daniel Halper, NY Post: “New emails show Huma scheming for Hillary”
“Another 296 pages of Hillary Clinton’s emails were released Tuesday — exposing key Clinton aides doing favors for billionaires and, on one occasion, leaving the then-secretary of state’s daily schedule in an unlocked hotel room.
The documents were released by Judicial Watch, which is suing to recover Clinton’s emails under Freedom of Information Act laws.
In an April 2009 email to Clinton’s State Department aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, President Clinton’s former body man, Doug Band, the founder of corporate consultant Teneo, urgently asked them to set up a meeting with an ambassador for a major donor to the Clinton Foundation.

CNS maturation is not complete until about age 25. Until then, systems that manufacture conformity are dominant. Great for a squad of Marines, not for our leaders.
“Any renaming push on the Ivy campus should start at the top—with Elihu Yale, slave trader extraordinaire.
“The English novelist Kingsley Amis once observed that much that was wrong with the 20th century could be summed up in the word “workshop.” On American campuses today, I suspect that the operative word is “committee.”
“On Aug. 1, Yale University president Peter Salovey announced that he is creating a Committee to Establish Principles on Renaming. There has been a craze for renaming things on college campuses the last couple of years—a common passion in unsettled times.
“In the French Revolution, leaders restarted the calendar at zero and renamed the months of the year. The Soviets renamed cities, erased the names of political enemies from the historical record, and banned scientific theories that conflicted with Marxist doctrine.
“At Princeton, Stanford, Georgetown, Harvard and elsewhere, students have demanded that buildings, programs and legacies be renamed to accommodate modern sensitivities. Amherst College has dropped Lord Jeffrey Amherst as its mascot because the colonial administrator was unkind to Indians. Students at the University of Missouri have petitioned to remove a statue of the “racist rapist” Thomas Jefferson. This is part of a larger effort, on and off campuses, to stamp out dissenting attitudes and rewrite history to comport with contemporary prejudices. . .”
ELECTION . . .
Victor Davis Hanson, NRO: “Trump vs. Trump
“. . . The termed-out incumbent Democratic president can win approval ratings of 50 percent only by staying quiet, out of the public eye, and doing as little governing as possible. Whenever Obama emerges from his hip cocoon and talks off his teleprompter, he reminds us that he is typically petulant, untruthful, and rambling. Witness his latest pathetic assurances that sending cash on pallets at night to obtain simultaneous release of hostages was not ransom. Even the obsequious pajama-boy D.C. press corps did not quite buy that. As so often, Obama’s soft-spoken prevarication comes across as being as coarse as Trump’s crudity.
“Hillary Clinton is the weakest Democratic candidate since her moral superior Jimmy Carter in 1980. She reminds us of her liabilities daily, whether lying repeatedly that the FBI director had not systematically stated she had been untruthful about her unlawful e-mails, or, in a screeching voice, proclaiming her determination to raise taxes on the middle class — not to reduce the $600 billion deficit but to add more entitlements. Is a young lathe worker or forklift driver to pay more so that a Bernie Sanders supporter can get free tuition? Next, she seemed to have fallen into a bizarro world when she remarked, “The Trump kids have killed a lot of animals.” Pundits forget that at any given moment, a “short-circuited” Hillary Clinton can say anything — or do anything, such as discussing the fate of a soon-to-be-doomed Iranian scientist on an unsecured e-mail server. Never Trumpers often fail to appreciate that Hillary is quite capable of trumping Trump in controversy and self-destructiveness — with the force multiplier that she is not a potential public servant but someone who has been almost nothing but one.
“Half the public hates the political and media elite of the Eastern corridor and their West Coast bookends in Hollywood and the tech industry. A David Brooks takedown of Trump or another Hillary endorsement from a Silicon Valley billionaire seems free Trump publicity. Is the working class reassured of Hillary’s credentials by a Warren Buffett endorsement or a nod from Meg Whitman?
“The news cycle of the next 100 days also favors Trump: weekly more of the same of Islamic-inspired international terrorism, coupled with Chamberlain-like, politically correct Western appeasement. Black Lives Matter, with the sanction of the Democratic party, will only grow more brazen. (But how does one top disrupting a moment of silence for slain policemen or using a bullhorn to segregate journalists by race?)
“There is little long-term optimism to make us forget the daily news disasters. Permanent near-zero interest rates, unsustainable new debt, Obamacare, insidious overregulation, record labor-force non-participation, and tax hikes will keep the economy stagnant — if we are lucky. An entire forgotten population of the former working American public has simply disengaged from the economy and turned to government support, help from friends and family, drugs and drink, or apathetic hopelessness. . .”
“There’s a reason US economic growth all but flat-lined these past eight years, and Donald Trump put his finger on it Monday: job-killing taxes and regulations.
“Speaking in Detroit, a city ravaged by economic decline, Trump offered his vision to boost growth and generate jobs, after years of painful stagnation, underemployment and too many Americans giving up on work altogether. One thing’s certain: It marks a 180-degree shift from the failed Obama approach.
“Trump painted a stark picture of current conditions: Anemic growth. The worst labor-force-participation rate in decades. Some 12 million more Americans on food stamps under President Obama. More than half of young blacks out of work.
“The GOP nominee would spur jobs with several reforms. To start, he’d simplify tax laws and cut income taxes “across the board,” the biggest relief since the Reagan years. He’d also slash the top corporate rate to 15 percent from 35 percent, and end the death tax, a boost to small family businesses.
“And he’d scrap ObamaCare for a replacement that won’t weigh down the economy.
“When it comes to regulations, Trump wants to “remove the anchor dragging us down.”
Daniel Halper & Bob Fredericks, NY Post: Donald Trump takes a page out of ‘Reaganomics’”
“Donald Trump called Monday for a “tax revolution”modeled on the vision of Ronald Reagan that would slash income tax rates, cut corporate taxes and create millions of jobs for a new era of prosperity.
“These reforms will offer the biggest tax revolution since the Reagan tax reform, which unleashed years of continued economic growth and job creation,” the GOP presidential nominee told the Detroit Economic Club.
“I want to jump-start America. It can be done, and it won’t even be that hard,” he said.
“In an hour-long address that also called for toughening trade policies and easing regulatory directives, Trump proposed to simplify the tax code to just three brackets from the current seven — 12, 25 and 33 percent. . .”
Matthew Dolan, Detroit Free Press: “Ivanka Trump: Critics ‘scared’ of Donald Trump presidency”
“He raised me to be a strong woman and voice my opinion,” Ivanka Trump told the Detroit Free Press in an interview. “I share with him when I agree and when I disagree.”
She may be the campaign whisperer in an often-blustery realm of Donald Trump.
Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, offered a full-throated but soft-spoken defense of her father’s sometimes-controversial candidacy in an interview following his speech Monday before the Detroit Economic Club.. .”
Rick Moran, PJM: “50 Republican National Security Experts Sign Letter Opposing Trump”
The most agitated witnesses to a house-cleaning? The social insects. Spray them!
“A group of 50 experts who have served in various national security positions in Republican administrations have signed a letter stating that they will not be voting for Donald Trump.
The letter, first reported by The New York Times Monday, warns: “We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history.”
Its signatories include former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden, former Director of National Intelligence and Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and Eric Edelman, who was Vice President Dick Cheney’s national security adviser and has worked closely with Michele Flournoy — a candidate for secretary of defense in a prospective Clinton administration — to forge a centrist group of defense experts on key military issues.
“It also includes two Homeland Security secretaries under Bush, Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff, and Robert Zoellick, a former World Bank president, U.S. trade representative and deputy secretary of state.
“The Trump campaign could not immediately be reached for comment.
“Many of the same leaders wrote an open letter in March during the Republican primaries condemning Trump and pledging to oppose his candidacy, at a time when other GOP candidates remained in the race.
“The letter acknowledges that many Americans ‘have doubts about Hillary Clinton, as do many of us.’
‘But Donald Trump is not the answer to America’s daunting challenges and to this crucial election,’ it says.
“In the new letter, the group warns Trump ‘lacks the temperament to be President.’”

“Continuing the recent Project Veritas video series regarding this week’s primary election in Michigan. Undercover reporters from Project Veritas have already released videos where they could have obtained the ballot of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, State Senator Morris Hood, MI House Democratic Leader Tim Greimel as well as several area journalists. In this video, James O’Keefe requested the ballot of famous rapper Eminem, otherwise known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III. Election officials told O’Keefe he doesn’t need I.D. to vote.

Sean Hannity, Fox:” FOX News’ Medical Team: What Do Hillary Clinton’s Neurological Records Show?”
“Dr. Marc Seigel said “the public has a right to know” and speculated on what the issue could be but was more interested in previous spills and a concussion she had in 2012.
“‘I think the public has a right to know,’ Seigel said. ‘We’re talking in 2008, Sean, I looked over a thousand pages of John McCain’s records because of a melanoma he had 10 years ago. What about Hillary? In 2009, a severe fall. She breaks her elbow. In 2011, she boards a plane, falls. In 2012 she has a severe concussion which Bill Clinton says took her six months to recover from.
“‘Then she ends up with a blood-clot in the brain and a lifetime of blood thinners,’ Seigel said. ‘Just that point alone — if she’s prone to falling, you can see from that picture up there that it looked like she can barely get upstairs without two people carrying her. Guess what if she falls and hits her head? She’ll get a blood-clot.’”
“‘I want to know what her neurological records show,’ he added.
“‘The picture going up the stairs speaks a million words,’ Dr. David Samadi said. ‘Is she fatigued? Is she dehydrated? One of the main reasons she fell in 2012 and had the concussions was severe dehydration. They’re holding her and going up the stairs. So she may be really dehydrated, she may have arthritis, she may have back pain, she may have fallen again. We don’t know. There are questions that are unanswered. What we know today is she’s on thyroid medication, she suffers from hypothyroid, low thyroid, that can cause fatigue and gaining weight and all of that.’
“‘I think a traumatic brain injury with symptoms down the road is very, very likely here especially since she had a blood-clot on her brain. As David mentioned that could lead to a seizure problem. Someone is carrying a [diazepam] pen that you’d use in case of a seizure, a Valium pen, that makes me wonder about that,’ Dr. Seigel said.”

Leo Knepper, CAP: “Powerful Electrical Workers’ Union Under Federal Investigation”
“. . . According to the Philadelphia Inquirer:
“Federal authorities executed search warrants at more than half a dozen locations, including Dougherty’s house in South Philadelphia, his sister’s home next door, the Local 98 hall at 17th and Spring Garden Streets, and the Mount Laurel home of union president Brian Burrows.
“At midday at union headquarters, agents removed at least a hundred boxes of paperwork, along with several computer hard drives, loading them into a yellow Penske truck. The scene was repeated shortly after 3 p.m., as boxes, computer hard drives, and a laptop were carried from the union business office nearby.
“Seized were bank records, invoices, credit card records, and tax forms, a person familiar with the investigation said… a person familiar with the investigation said it focused on the union’s finances and its involvement in the political campaigns of Mayor Kenney and state Supreme Court Justice Kevin Dougherty, who is Dougherty’s brother. Federal authorities are also scrutinizing Dougherty’s finances and taxes, the source said.”
END NOTE . . .
Mark Levin (8/9/16)
“On Monday’s Mark Levin show, Donald Trump has issued more details on his economic plan and trade policies. Trump said he was going to cut 7 federal income tax brackets down to three, limit business income taxes to 15%, eliminate the death tax, and repeal Obamacare. These among others are positive aspects of his proposal. In any event Hillary Clinton is already pounding away at Donald Trump. However, her proposal would not lead to any wealth creation as she proposes a massive 1 trillion dollar increase in taxes. Her policies have “Depression” written all over them. In addition the trickle down system of Capitalism that Hillary talks about was a spectacular success. Just look at the Ronald Reagan years where 20 million more jobs were created and unemployment fell to 5.3%. Capitalism doesn’t create a trouble free or risk free life but a better life. After that, not a single candidate running now supports trade. Massive tariffs would be very destructive to our nation.”
