Janet: Sample Ballot

Here is a list of districts in Chester County to see your sample ballot for Nov. 8. Please note the second page! Vote NO on this item. They are trying to increase the retirement age of judges. (Their next job?)

The Pa. Constitution already has a mandatory retirement age of 70!

On the Montgomery ballot it’s the question on the right side.

Sean Hannity 10/27 Recap

5:05PM ET – James O’Keefe, Founder of Project Veritas, is here to discuss the latest release from his undercover sting operation exposing the many corrupt arms of the Hillary Clinton campaign. As more information is released, the left is calling for the raw video, wanting to see if the editing was done fairly. What they don’t realize is that the raw video would expose and implicate many more people, something that the PV lawyers have prevented them from pursuing, at this time.
“Days ago, the ‘dark ops’ guy for Hillary Clinton and the DNC, Robert Creamer, was goading us to release all of our footage.
“After the last release, those calls have disappeared as our footage hits closer to home for Hillary Clinton.
“You’ll find a detailed explanation of what Creamer does for Clinton . . . and how close this convicted felon really is to both Hillary AND Barack Obama.
“And the take away?
“Creamer, once again, admits that he is working directly for the Clinton Campaign, then DIRECTS AND ACCEPTS a $20,000 donation from a foreign bank – that was really from our fictitious donor. . .”

NY Post: “Bill and Hillary’s sleazy road to riches

“If there were still any doubt, the latest WikiLeaks disclosure makes it undeniable: Everything we’ve heard about Bill and Hillary Clinton’s sleazy drive to enrich themselves is true.

In a way, we have daughter Chelsea to thank for the revelation.

It was her suspicion that her father’s cronies were using their Clinton Foundation connections to “hustle business” for themselves that led to an in-house legal review.

And in a 2011 memo to the review team, former presidential aide Doug Band openly boasted about how he’d raised millions for the foundation from his business clients— and even more for Bill Clinton personally.

In fact, Band’s 13-page memo actually described the arrangement he’d set up as “Bill Clinton Inc.” — “dedicating myself” to helping the Clintons use their government service to feather their own nest.

And what a gravy train: Band’s clients at his Teneo consulting firm were pressed to give millions to the foundation — and millions more to Bill.

At that point, Teneo had raised $8 million for the foundation and $3 million in paid speeches for Bill. Plus, Band boasted, it had also set up “more than $50 million in for-profit” business deals for the ex-president, with contracts worth $66 million more.

And that doesn’t even include loads of “in-kind” freebies, like vacations and private jets.

Band denied profiting personally from these deals (apart from all the high-priced business he got from his Clinton connection, that is). He would even later whine about his inability to cash in like Bill.

The foundation claims there was no unsavory link between its donors and Hillary’s job as secretary of state. Yet other e-mail dumps and press investigations show beyond a doubt that giving to Clinton causes could win you face time with the secretary, help placing people in State Department jobs — and even preferential treatment in lucrative Haiti-relief work. . .”

WSJ: “The Cold Clinton Reality”

“Why isn’t the IRS investigating the Clinton Foundation?

“Hillary and Bill Clinton are asking for a third term in the White House, and voters who want to know what this portends should examine the 12-page memo written by a Clinton insider that was hacked and published Wednesday by WikiLeaks. This is the cold, hard reality of the Clinton political-business model.

“Longtime Clinton aide Doug Band wrote the memo in 2011 to justify himself to lawyers at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett who were reviewing his role and conducting a governance review of the Clinton Foundation at the insistence of Chelsea Clinton. In an email two weeks earlier, also published on WikiLeaks, Ms. Clinton said her father had been told that Mr. Band’s firm Teneo was “hustling” business at the Clinton Global Initiative, a regular gathering of the wealthy and powerful that is ostensibly about charitable activity.

“Poor innocent Chelsea. Bill and Hillary must never have told her what business they’re in. If she had known, she would never have hired a blue-chip law firm to sweep through the hallways of the Clinton Foundation searching for conflicts of interest. Instead of questioning Mr. Band’s compensation, she would have pleaded with him never to reveal the particulars of his job in writing.

“But she didn’t, and so Mr. Band went ahead and described the “unorthodox nature” of his work while emphasizing his determination to help “protect the 501(c)3 status of the Foundation.” That’s the part of the tax code that has allowed the Clinton Foundation to remain tax-exempt on the premise that it is dedicated to serving humanity.

“Mr. Band graciously copied John Podesta, then adviser to the board, who would eventually become Hillary’s campaign chief. His helpful reply was to suggest that Mr. Band ‘strip the defensive stuff out’ and later ‘go through the details and how they have helped WJC’ [ William Jefferson Clinton].

“The Band memo reveals exactly what critics of the Clintons have long said: They make little distinction between the private and public aspects of their lives, between the pursuit of personal enrichment, the operation of a nonprofit, and participation in U.S. politics. . .”

Kimberley Strassel, WSJ: Grifters-in-Chief”

“The Clintons don’t draw lines between their ‘charity’ and personal enrichment.

“In an election season that has been full of surprises, let’s hope the electorate understands that there is at least one thing of which it can be certain: A Hillary Clinton presidency will be built, from the ground up, on self-dealing, crony favors, and an utter disregard for the law.

This isn’t a guess. It is spelled out, in black and white, in the latest bombshell revelation from WikiLeaks. It comes in the form of a memo written in 2011 by longtime Clinton errand boy Doug Band, who for years worked simultaneously at the Clinton Foundation and at the head of his lucrative consulting business, Teneo.

It is astonishingly detailed proof that the Clintons do not draw any lines between their “charitable” work, their political activity, their government jobs or (and most important) their personal enrichment. Every other American is expected to keep these pursuits separate, as required by tax law, anticorruption law and campaign-finance law. For the Clintons, it is all one and the same—the rules be damned. . .”

Peter Schweizer, BigGovt: “Clinton World Still Has No Good Answers on Russian Uranium Deal”

“The transfer of 20 percent of America’s uranium to a Russian-controlled company, first exposed in Clinton Cashand confirmed by the New York Times, has become a central subject of the presidential campaign. Donald Trump has referenced it in his speeches and news media “fact checkers” have been furiously writing about it.

“Set aside for a minute how candidates might inartfully describe a complex transaction or the semantic games that might be played by “fact checkers.” The usually curious news media is going to absurd lengths to pretend that there is nothing here so the issue will go away.

“Briefly, a Russian government sought federal government approval to purchase a Canadian company called Uranium One which controlled 20 percent of American uranium assets. This required the approval of several federal government agencies, because the deal involved a material (uranium) of national strategic importance.

“Hillary Clinton’s State Department was one of those agencies which signed off on the deal.

“Nine shareholders connected to Uranium One contributed a combined $145 million to the Clinton Foundation before or during the time the review took place. Some of those donations were not publicly disclosed at the time, as the Clintons promised they would. . .”

“Trump should win based on Hillary’s corruption alone

The recent Wikileaks revelations about the Clintons, the Clinton campaign, media collusion, and the various hypocrisies of the Democratic Party are groundbreaking in both their scope and depth.

The sheer number of hacked emails covering so many topics, combined with the shadiness of the activities involved, should have already handed Donald Trump the election.

Alas, the media, whose collusion with the Clinton campaign is laid out in many of the emails, will not have a bar of reporting them in a professional, ethical fashion. The following seven email exchanges have either been deliberately suppressed by mainstream outlets or given the slimmest coverage to feebly ward off accusations that they are in the de facto service (or pocket) of Hillary Clinton. . .”

James Capretta, NRO: “Obamacare Is Sick, but It’s Not Dying Anytime Soon”

“The president’s signature health-care program will continue to sputter along until Republicans have the power to fix it .
“The Department of Health and Human Services announced in a report on Monday that insurers are increasing their premiums by an average of 25 percent for plans offered on the Affordable Care Act’s federal exchange in 2017. This report confirms what has been evident for some time: The ACA — a.k.a. Obamacare — is financially unstable just as many critics predicted it would be, and this instability is making the law more vulnerable politically, too.
“The basic problem is that those who signed up for coverage in 2014, 2015, and 2016 were, on average, higher users of medical services than insurers anticipated. Consequently, the premiums they had been charged for coverage were far too low to cover their costs, and insurers incurred substantial losses. In 2014 alone, insurers lost about $2.7 billion from the plans they offered in the individual insurance market, and their losses almost certainly grew in 2015 and 2016.
“It should be self-evident that even nonprofit insurers won’t long survive if they continue to pay claims far in excess of the premiums they collect. Predictably, many of them are now adjusting. Some have decided to withdraw from large numbers of the ACA’s insurance markets in 2017 because of the substantial losses they have already incurred and would likely continue to incur going forward. Others are staying active in the market but have substantially recalibrated their premiums for 2017, hence the 25 percent average premium increase reported by HHS.
“There is some speculation that the ACA’s insurance markets are in the beginning stages of a complete collapse, sometimes called a “death spiral.” An insurance market falls into such a condition when a large portion of healthier enrollees withdraw from the market because they believe the premiums being charged for coverage are too high relative to their health risks, while those with higher risks perceive the premiums to be worthwhile given their expected use of medical services. Over time, these perceptions create a shift in the market toward those with expensive conditions. As insurers work to recalibrate to the changing profile of their customers, they have no choice but to raise their premiums rather steeply and rapidly, which drives even more healthy customers away. . .”

Scott Bransford, Reuters: “Oregon militants acquitted of conspiracy in wildlife refuge seizure”

A federal court jury delivered a surprise verdict on Thursday acquitting anti-government militant leader Ammon Bundy and six followers of conspiracy charges stemming from their role in the armed takeover of a wildlife center in Oregon earlier this year.

The outcome marked a stinging defeat for federal prosecutors and law enforcement in a trial the defendants sought to turn into a pulpit for airing their opposition to U.S. government control over millions of acres of public lands in the West.

Bundy and others, including his brother and co-defendant Ryan Bundy, cast the 41-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge as a patriotic act of civil disobedience. Prosecutors called it a lawless scheme to seize federal property by force.

Jubilant supporters of the Bundys thronged the courthouse after the verdict, hailing the trial’s outcome as vindication of a political ideology that is profoundly distrustful of federal authority and challenges its legitimacy.

Mark Levin, 10/27/16

“On Thursday’s Mark Levin show, Most conservative intellectuals and think tanks don’t conceive what has happened in this country. They rarely talk about the Constitution and almost never talk about solutions. They are perfectly happy with operating within the box left has built. They miss what is going on with the debt spending, out of control central government, and evisceration of large chunks of the Constitution. They live in a cloistered environment and they miss the genius of the framers and ratifiers of the Constitution. All they have to do is read the Constitution and Article V, Convention of States.

“Also, people are disgusted with the government and feel they have no say in it and in many respects they are right. We are not a pure democracy but our representative functions of government are not working anymore. This was the plan of the Democrats. This is why Hillary Clinton has got to be defeated. There is not an easy solution to this but there is a direction if only people would take it. “Finally, Ben Shapiro calls in to talk about his new book, True Allegiance.”
