Andrew McCarthy, NRO: Hillary’s E-mails and the Justice Department”

“The DOJ Inspector General’s review will focus on the FBI, not DOJ.

“The Justice Department’s inspector general has announced that his office will conduct a review that will focus principally on FBI director James Comey’s public statements regarding the Clinton e-mails investigation during the 2016 campaign.
“These were the three highly unusual announcements describing the status of the investigation in which no charges were filed: (1) the detailed presentation on July 5 of: the evidence uncovered against Hillary Clinton, a legal analysis of the applicable criminal statute, Comey’s determination that an indictment was not warranted, and his opinion that no reasonable prosecutor could disagree with his assessment; (2) the October 28 letter to Congress indicating that the Clinton e-mails case was being reopened owing to newly discovered evidence (derived from the separate investigation of disgraced former representative Anthony Weiner [D., N.Y.], and specifically from a computer shared by Weiner and his estranged wife, Clinton aide Huma Abedin); and, finally, (3) the announcement on November 6 – virtually the eve of the election – reaffirming Comey’s decision (announced July 5) not to seek an indictment.
“It is undoubtedly appropriate for Michael Horowitz, DOJ’s inspector general, to consider whether these actions departed from law-enforcement protocols – as I have previously explained. But it is worth noting what the IG will not be reviewing: the Justice Department’s conduct.
“The IG’s press release makes no mention of the Justice Department’s decision not to open a grand-jury investigation, despite significant concrete evidence of criminal wrongdoing – the decision that deprived the FBI of the use of subpoenas to compel the production of evidence. Neither will the IG be reviewing the multiple irregular immunity agreements granted by the Justice Department in a case in which no criminal charges were filed, including agreements that reportedly called for the destruction of evidence (laptop computers of top Clinton aides) after a strangely limited examination of their potentially incriminating contents. . .”

Joanne Yurchak: “Educators’ Lie”

“I urge you to read the following and follow the links that provide documentation of the statements therein.  Please post this on facebook pages and publicize it in any way you can.  It is unconscionable that these people are so blatant in their determination to dismantle the Trump presidency before it even begins.  That educators are involved is particularly disturbing.

“In a similar manner to those generating false news to undermine our President-elect, some in the education field are doing so with FALSE TWEETS.  In his Internet blog, Steven Singer, a Pennsylvania teacher, openly boasts about how he fakes tweets (link) to make it seem as though they are coming from Mr. Trump. He even provides a web site that enables others to do so. Reprehensibly, Diane Ravitch (a well-known progressive educational activist, research professor at NYU, and former U.S. Asst. Secretary of Education) has praised Singer’s efforts and encouraged the numerous followers of her blog, many of whom are educators, to follow his lead (link). Truth is secondary to ideology for these individuals.

“Anyone needing indisputable proof that some on the Left are deliberately disseminating false information to undermine Trump’s presidency need only read these articles that blatantly and publicly brag about their duplicitous efforts to do so. That some in the educational field are participating in these deliberately deceptive, juvenile and unprofessional tactics is unconscionable. These individuals are the worst possible example for our schoolchildren and should not be in the classroom indoctrinating our students, nor should they be paid by our tax dollars.

Joanne Yurchak: “Video of Ted Cruz at Jeff Sessions Confirmation”

“IMO, Ted Cruz did an outstanding job in his questioning (and strong support) of Jeff Sessions for U.S. Attorney General.  It is worth watching at least the first several minutes of the following video:

“Senator Cruz began by saying: ‘This has been an interesting day listening to Democratic senator after Democratic senator give speeches and praise on the rule of law.’  He went on to say that he is encouraged by that because for eight years it’s been absent.  ‘For eight years we’ve seen a Department of Justice consistently disregarding the rule of law.’

“He described each of of the innumerable situations in which Obama’s Department of Justice disregarded the rule of law, and after each description made the statement: ‘The Democratic senators were silent.’  (How very, very true!)

“His speech was a powerful reminder of the Department of INJUSTICE that the United States has been subjected to for the last eight years.”

Yahoo!: “Assange agrees to extradition if US releases whistleblower”

“London (AFP) – WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will agree to be extradited to the United States if President Barack Obama grants clemency to the former US soldier Chelsea Manning, jailed for leaking documents, the company said on Thursday.

“If Obama grants Manning clemency Assange will agree to US extradition despite clear unconstitutionality of DoJ (US Department of Justice) case,” WikiLeaks wrote on Twitter.

“Assange has been living in the Ecuadoran embassy in London since June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden to face sexual assault allegations.

“The Australian former computer hacker said he fears Stockholm will in turn extradite him to the US, where he angered Washington over WikiLeaks’ publication of thousands of US military and diplomatic documents leaked by former US soldier Manning.

Manning is currently serving a 35-year sentence in solitary confinement for handing “over the 700,000 sensitive documents from the US State Department. . .”

Jordain Carney, The Hill: “Cruz, Graham offer bill to cut off funding to UN over Israel vote”

“GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) introduced legislation on Thursday that would cut off funding to the United Nations over a recent resolution denouncing Israeli settlements.

“The bill would stop the flow of funds until the president confirms the repeal of a U.N. Security Council resolution that called Israel’s expansion into Palestinian territories a violation of international law.

“Cruz said President Obama ‘betrayed decades of robust bipartisan American support for Israel’ by having his administration abstain from voting on the resolution rather than vetoing it. . .”

Pam Key, Breitbart: “Cavuto: CNN Now Knows How Fox News Has Felt for the Past Eight Years”

“Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” during a commentary about President-elect Donald Trump’s refusal to take CNN’s  question while calling them “fake news” at his Wednesday press conference, host Neil Cavuto pointed out CNN should now understand what it was like when Fox had to endure the past eight years of President Obama’s criticisms.

Cavuto said, “Take it from me, taking truth to power can be powerfully unsettling if that power sets its sights on you, and attacks you, and dismisses you, and ignores you. It didn’t matter so much when it wasn’t about you before, CNN. Very different now that it’s you being singled out, CNN. Doesn’t seem very fair now, does it? The shabby treatment of your reporters not very nice now is it? That’s life, I guess, not fair, not balanced. Now you’re experiencing what we have been living. Now you’re the ones royally foxed. And the irony is, I feel your pain. You never came to our defense so allow me to come to yours.”

“You are better than BuzzFeed,” he continued. “But the buzz is you’re getting fed to the wolves. Isn’t it obnoxious and unfair how some celebrate your plight? Kind of feels like the way you celebrated ours doesn’t it? They say payback is a bitch. If only you take a moment to rewind the tape and see the shoe is on the other foot. Or am I confusing it with the one kicking you in the ass? You see it’s hard to tell from where I sit. Back then your silence was deafening. Very different now, isn’t it? And I suspect, just suspect, not much fun is it? Weird.”

Mia de Graaf, UK Daily Mail:” Marijuana DOES cause schizophrenia and triggers heart attacks, experts say in landmark study that slams most of the drug’s medical benefits as ‘unproven’”

“Marijuana does raise the risk of getting schizophrenia and triggers heart attacks, according to the most significant study on the drug’s effects to date.

“A federal advisory panel admitted cannabis can almost certainly ease chronic pain, and might help some people sleep.

“But it dismisses most of the drug’s other supposedly ‘medical benefits’ as unproven.

Crucially, the researchers concluded there is not enough research to say whether marijuana effectively treats epilepsy – one of the most widely-recognized reasons for cannabis prescriptions.

“The report also casts doubt on using cannabis to treat cancers, irritable bowel syndrome, or certain symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, or helping people beat addictions. . .”

Andrew Napolitano: RCP: “Hillary Clinton’s Server Continues to Haunt Her”

“The criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton is back front and center now that the FBI has released proof that her failure to safeguard state secrets caused the secrets to fall into the hands of foreign governments, some of which wish the United States ill.

“Even though the case against her — which was closed and then reopened and then closed again — is old news and she obviously is no longer a candidate to become president of the United States and has been staying below the radar for the past two months, recent developments have regenerated the case.

“Here is the back story.

“On July 5, FBI Director James Comey announced publicly that the FBI would recommend against seeking an indictment of Clinton for espionage — the failure to safeguard state secrets that had been entrusted to her. He argued that though the case against her was strong — as secretary of state, she had been extremely careless with secrets; exposed hundreds of materials that were confidential, secret and top-secret; and used non-secure mobile devices while in the territory of hostile governments — no reasonable prosecutor would take the case.

“Why was the decision of whether to prosecute Clinton left to Comey?

“The FBI’s job is to gather evidence of federal crimes and to present that evidence to career prosecutors in the Department of Justice for evaluation. The FBI has numerous investigative tools available to it. One of those tools is presenting evidence to a grand jury and requesting subpoenas from it. Another is presenting evidence to a federal judge and requesting search warrants from the judge. A third is obtaining the indictment of someone who is in the inner circle of the person who is the true target of the investigation and then persuading that indicted person to become a government witness.

“None of those tools was used in the Clinton case. . .”

“Dear God, please send clothes for all those poor ladies on grandpa’s computer. Amen” (Thanks Barb!_

Brody – Biden gets a job at Penn. What about Hillary’s pardon? And when does BO remember his mother, Ann Dunham, who shares his jaw line and smile?
