Janet: Obama Care:
There are no more excuses for not repealing Obamacare. Establishment Republicans are, nonetheless, dragging their feet on what was a major campaign promise. We are hearing that liberals are calling Congress in massive numbers to ensure the survival of socialist medicine and the ‘death panel’. Conservatives must act asap.
The deadline to repeal Obamacare, with the reconciliation process that allows passage in the Senate with only 51 votes (Republicans have 52), is April 28, 2017.
Please be aware that repeal must come first, then, replace. A transition period is included in the repeal effort that gives Obamacare insurers and insured the time to transition to a replacement plan. Combining repeal and replace significantly jeopardizes the repeal process.

Trump talk: Borders, trade, military, infrastructure, repeal Obamacare; free market structure,
”They thought Trump was gonna continue to be what they think is a bumbling fool, you know, fortunately, luckily running into good things and eventually he was gonna start bumping into bad things, and he’s gonna screw everything up. He didn’t know politics. He didn’t know the establishment. It was gonna be easy to do end runs around him, and that speech came, and in their minds, that’s the greatest speech they’ve ever heard, and it scared the hell out of ’em.” Rushbo https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2017/03/02/barack-obama-and-his-deep-state-operatives-are-attempting-to-sabotage-the-duly-elected-president-of-the-united-states/

Rushbo: “Barack Obama and His Deep State Operatives Are Attempting to Sabotage the Duly Elected President of the United States”
“. . .This story is not about Jeff Sessions. This story is not about illegal talks between Trump and his campaign people and the Russians. This story is about Barack Obama and the Democrat Party attempting to sabotage the Trump presidency and do everything they can to either render it meaningless and ineffective or to get him impeached or force him to resign. That’s what the story is. And that is what has to be attacked, not defended.
“We have no reason to be on defense all the time. We won the election. These people are barely hanging on. This is all they’ve got. And there’s no evidence, despite a year and a half of allegations of illegal contact between Trump, his campaign, and the Russians. There is no evidence.
“Now you know why I have been harping on this almost daily for so long, because this is the only option the Democrats have open is to try to convince as many people as possible that Hillary should have won the election, that Trump is illegitimate, that Trump’s victory was the result of cheating and fakery and maybe foreign espionage. That’s all they’ve got.
Now, if you take a look at what they’re doing, they’re going after all of the people who are the closest advisers to Trump. They took out Rudy Giuliani right after the election with stories about his supposed ties to foreign governments. They took out Michael Flynn. And how did they do that? They decided to harp on the fact that Flynn had lied to Pence about something of tremendous, major import, forcing Trump to get rid of Flynn on the basis he’s not trustworthy, the guy lied to Pence.
“How are they going after Sessions? Sessions lied. Sessions lied to Franken. Now Trump has no choice but then to get rid of Sessions. This is what they’re trying to do. Now, do not misunderstand me. I’m not saying Sessions doesn’t deserve to be defended and I’m not saying this shouldn’t be explained, because I’m gonna do that today. I’m talking about tactics and strategy, the immediate knee-jerk reaction when these allegations come is to accept their premise, and once we do that, we’re cooked.
“No matter how much brilliance we come up with, no matter how much evidence to refute what they’re saying, if we accept the premise, we’re cooked. We have got to redefine what this is really all about. It is all about Barack Obama and the Democrat Party attempting to unseat President Trump. It’s all about sabotage and a scandal from the highest levels of the Democrat Party. That’s what is happening here. And that’s what people need to be told.
“All of this needs to be explained to casual observers, American citizens, as to what is really going on. . .”
Andrew McCarthy, NRO: “The Perjury Allegation against Jeff Sessions Is Meritless”
“. . . There is a good deal of political hay to be made because Sessions made a statement that was inaccurate — or at least incomplete — especially when mined out of its context. But the claim that his testimony was perjurious as a matter of law is wholly without merit.
“. . . First, let’s highlight the inaccuracy in the testimony. Sessions stated that he did not have “communications with the Russians.” It is now known that there were at least two occasions during the 2016 campaign on which Sessions, then a senator and a member of the chamber’s Armed Services Committee, had contact with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States.
“One of these occasions is easily dismissed: Apparently, Sessions saw Kislyak, in addition to dozens of other ambassadors, at a Heritage Foundation reception during the Republican convention. As Sessions was leaving the podium, a smaller group of these diplomats, including Kislyak, approached Sessions to chat briefly — mainly to compliment him on his remarks. Even the Washington Post doesn’t think much of this chance meeting (buried deep in its story) other than the fact that it happened.
“A second meeting occurred in September in Sessions’s Senate office. The Post dramatically claims that this meeting occurred “at the height of what U.S. intelligence officials say was a Russian cyber campaign to upend the U.S. presidential race.” That is a curious description. The report by intelligence officials claimed that the Russian cyber effort targeted both major parties, not just Democrats. Moreover, the successful hacking of Democratic e-mail accounts had already occurred by September. There is not a shred of evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign was in any way complicit in the hacking, much less that the hacking affected the outcome of the election. To the unknowable but probably inconsequential extent that the Trump campaign may have benefited from disclosure of John Podesta’s e-mails, there is nothing criminal about that — no more than there is anything criminal in the fact that the much of the American media skew their coverage in favor of Democrats. . .”
Jeff Poor, Breitbart: “Sessions: ‘I Have Not Met With Any Russians at Any Time to Discuss Any Political Campaign’”
“In a clip that aired on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday from earlier in the day, Attorney General Jeff Sessions denied having met with Russian officials to discuss Donald Trump’s presidential campaign despite allegations that appeared a Washington Post story published late Wednesday night.
“I have not met with any Russians at any time to discuss any political campaign,” Sessions said. “And those remarks are unbelievable to me and are false, and I don’t have anything else to say about that.”
If necessary, Sessions vowed to recuse himself from any investigation.
“I have said whenever it is appropriate, I will recuse myself,” he added. “There’s no doubt about that.”
Joel Pollak, BigGovt: “Fake News: Media, Democrats Distort Remarks to Target Jeff Sessions”
“The Washington Post reports that Sessions met Sergey Kislyak once at a Heritage Foundation event in July 2016, where other ambassadors were also present. It also reports that Sessions met with Kislyak in his Senate office in September, in his capacity on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
“The hook on which the Post attempts to hang Sessions is that he did not disclose the meetings to the Senate when he was asked about “possible contacts between members of President Trump’s campaign and representatives of Moscow.” Sessions’s spokesperson at the Department of Justice, Sarah Isgur Flores, says his answer in January was truthful because he was asked about ‘the Trump campaign — not about meetings he took as a senator and a member of the Armed Services Committee.’
“The Post does not provide the full transcript of the question, from Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), and Sessions’s answer. Instead it summarizes the exchange in a way that makes it seem that Sessions was asked if there was any contact at all between the campaign and representatives of the Russian government.
“In fact, what Sessions was asked about was sustained, ongoing communications — a core accusation in the dubious ‘dossier.’ . . .”
Jim Stinson, Lifezette: “Conservatives Fight to Stop ‘Obamacare Lite’”
“GOP senators blocked from seeing Ryan plan for ACA being held in ‘secure location’
“. . . Republicans have said for years they were on the same page on repealing and replacing the behemoth health care law, better known as Obamacare. Now, with complete GOP control of Congress and the White House, a path forward appears jeopardized by intra-party squabbling.
“At least three Republican senators — enough to kill a bill — have said they won’t vote for a new GOP health bill that expands entitlements. And there are also rebellions in the House of Representatives, where any Republican plan to replace Obamacare is expected to originate.
“Conservatives worry the replacement plan being readied by House Speaker Paul Ryan does not actually repeal Obamacare. Rather, they believe Republican elders are just tweaking the current health care system established by Democratic majorities in March 2010.
“U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) mocked House Republicans Thursday morning for keeping the House version of the repeal of Obamacare under tighter wraps than the Ark of the Covenant. . .”
BBC: “Sweden brings back military conscription amid Baltic tensions”
Reaction to “immigrants”?
“The Swedish government has decided to reintroduce military conscription – a move backed by the country’s MPs.
“The decision means that 4,000 men and women will be called up for service from 1 January 2018, a defence ministry spokeswoman told the BBC.
“They will be selected from about 13,000 young people born in 1999, who will be asked to undergo a military assessment, Marinette Nyh Radebo said.
“Non-aligned Sweden is worried about Russia’s Baltic military drills.
“In September, a Swedish garrison was restored to Gotland, a big island lying between the Swedish mainland and the three ex-Soviet Baltic states. . .”
Leon Wagener, UK Daily Mail: “EXCLUSIVE: Barack Obama’s close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump”
“· Obama’s goal is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment, a family friend tells DailyMail.com
- Jarrett has moved into the 8,200-square-foot, $5.3-million Kaloroma mansion to work closely with the former president and Michelle Obama
- Jarrett lived in the White House, dined with the Obamas, and helped shape his domestic and foreign policies
- Obama cannot use his West End office, a post-presidency perk, for political purposes
- ‘He’s coming. And he’s ready to roll.’ former Attorney General Eric Holder said yesterday about the former president’s reentry into the political scene
Clifford Cunningham, InfoWars: “NUCLEAR EXPERT: U.S. FALLING BEHIND CHINA”
Problems complicate Trump’s pledge to rebuild nuclear arsenal
“. . . John C. Hopkins, the former head of nuclear testing at Los Alamos who was involved in five atmospheric tests in the Pacific and 170 tests in Nevada from the 1960s to the 1980s, expressed concerns over the slowly degrading ability of the U.S. to test nuclear weapons.
“Because I know something about the skills, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure necessary to field a full-scale nuclear test, I have grown increasingly concerned at the steady degradation of U.S. nuclear test readiness—that is, the capability of the United States to test its nuclear weapons should the need to do so arise,” he said in an article from the Los Alamos newsletter.
“Hopkins highlighted the lack of personnel with nuclear testing experience as the most serious threat to the United States in the event of a national emergency.
“With every day that passes, the United States grows more out of practice and out of resources —including the most important resource: people with experience—that are critical to nuclear testing. . .”
Michelle Malkin, RCP: “A Lesson for Planned Parenthood’s Pinup Girls”
“Glam American actresses Emma Stone and Dakota Johnson adorned their pricy Oscars ceremony gowns and handbags with golden Planned Parenthood pins in the shape of the group’s logo.
“I believe there should be truth in virtue signaling. But bloodied miniature forceps would have clashed with the Givenchy and Gucci outfits worn by the abortion giant’s pinup gals.
“Since President Trump’s reinstatement of the so-called “Mexico City policy” barring taxpayer funding of international nongovernmental organizations that perform and promote abortions, Hollywood progressives have turned up the volume on their abortion radicalism — and opened their wallets.
“Golden Globes winner Tracee Ellis-Ross plans to hock 10 massive, red-carpet rings and donate the proceeds to Planned Parenthood. Pop songstress Katy Perry chipped in $10,000. The author of the ‘Lemony Snicket’ children’s book series, Daniel Handler, and his wife showered the peddler of harvested fetal organs with $1 million.
“‘We’ve been very fortunate,’ Handler explained, ‘and good fortune should be shared with noble causes.’
Victor Davis Hanson, NRO: “Is the American Elite Really Elite?”
“. . . The sometimes undisciplined and loud Trump is certainly not a member of the familiar ruling cadre, which dismisses him as a crude and know-nothing upstart who should never have been elected president. (Had Hillary Clinton won in 2016 and served a full term, a member of either the Bush or Clinton families would have been president for 24 years of a 32-year span.)
“But who, exactly, makes up these disgruntled elite classes?
“In California, state planners and legislators focused on things such as outlawing plastic grocery bags while California’s roads and dams over three decades sank into decrepitude. The result is crumbling infrastructure that now threatens the very safety of the public. Powerful Californians with impressive degrees also came up with the loony and neo-Confederate idea of nullifying federal immigration law through sanctuary cities.
“Sophisticated Washington, D.C., economists produced budgets for the last eight years that saw U.S. debt explode from $10 trillion to nearly $19 trillion, as economic growth sank to its lowest level since the Hoover administration.
“For a year, most expert pundits and pollsters smugly assured the public of a certain Hillary Clinton victory — until the hour before she was overwhelmed in the Electoral College.
“Rhodes Scholar and former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice lied repeatedly on national television about the Benghazi debacle.
“From the fabulist former NBC anchorman Brian Williams to the disreputable reporters who turned up in WikiLeaks, there are lots of well-educated, influential, and self-assured elites who apparently cannot tell the truth or in dishonest fashion mix journalism and politics. . .”
Kevin Williamson, NRO: “Wishful Thinking, Again”
“Trump offers up gross fiscal irresponsibility.
“Populism does not mean putting the American people first. Populism means telling the American people whatever it is they want to hear, even if it is bull and everybody knows it.
“The courtiers and scribes spent the evening after President Donald Trump’s big speech to Congress engaged in increasingly absurd metaphysical speculation over the nature of what it means to be “presidential” and the degree to which Trump has achieved this. Never has so much gibberish been uttered by so many over a reflexive adjective.
“And there were exclamations of surprise: “He came out against . . . bigotry!” Well, raise my rent. What did you expect him to do, endorse the vandalism of Jewish cemeteries? End Black History Month by saying, “Hey, you know what, Joe Biden was right: We do want to put you back in chains!”
“Preposterous nonsense. But that is what we must expect from our increasingly ceremonial presidency. Who applauded? Who didn’t? Who was the first to stop clapping? What does it mean? It is difficult to imagine a self-respecting people’s consenting to be governed by these people, and to be condescended to by their sycophants.
“Trump was, as expected, light on policy details. It is hard to blame him.
“But I’m up for the challenge. . .”
Mark Levin 03-02-17
“On Thursday’s Mark Levin show, Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recused himself from the investigation between President Donald Trump and Russian ties. Did Sessions give 20’% of uranium to Russians like Hillary Clinton did? No, he didn’t do anything like that. He met with the ambassador as matter of his duty as a senator not as a surrogate for the Trump 2016 campaign. However, Republicans in the house and Senate insisted that he recuse himself. You can bet Republicans will throw these guys overboard just like they did with Gen Mike Flynn. The left’s desire to destroy this administration is insatiable, and they are not going to stop. Did Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch ever recuse himself on anything? This is so pathetic that Republicans are all over T.V. saying Sessions should recuse himself. Republicans like Kevin McCarthy are running for the hills whenever liberals attack. The bigger scandal here is that we’ve had Obama administration holdovers within intelligence agencies surveilling the Trump campaign and leaking information to the public, in hopes of getting Hillary Clinton elected. Those are police state tactics! Nothing Gen. Michael Flynn or Sessions have done are even in the same category as that. This is a massive scandal, the likes of which we have never seen. The real question should be, was Barack Obama as President using our intelligence services through the FISA court to gather information on their opponent?
“In addition, where did the information on Sessions come from? The Obama administration knew exactly what they were doing. They loosened NSA information gathering rules weeks before they left office. The information was then grabbed and spread to plants in the government.
“Finally, Dr. John Eastman, Law professor at Chapman Law School calls in to talk to discuss Trump’s fascination with Andrew Jackson. Jackson vetoed every bill by Congress that attempted to work on local and state projects.”
