It’s time for the Tea Party to go BACK to Washington, DC. President Trump is working to keep the promises he made on the campaign trail, but he’s running into opposition at every turn – from the intolerant leftist Democrats, to the mainstream media, and even some establishment Republicans.
It’s time for us to show up again in Washington and remind these politicians that it’s time to start enacting the agenda that will make America great again.
Tea Party Patriots along with Freedom Works
On March 15th, will host a grassroots lobbying day on Capitol Hill. Office visits are one of the most effective ways to make our voices heard in Washington, D.C. and to hold our elected officials accountable.
The primary focus of our lobbying day will be on repealing ObamaCare and confirming Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, although we may add other topics as the date approaches. The committee hearing for Judge Gorsuch is set for March 20, which increases the importance of us being in DC together making our voices heard on March 15.

Janet: Obama Care:

There are no more excuses for not repealing Obamacare. Establishment Republicans are, nonetheless, dragging their feet on what was a major campaign promise. We are hearing that liberals are calling Congress in massive numbers to ensure the survival of socialist medicine and the ‘death panel’. Conservatives must act asap.

The deadline to repeal Obamacare, with the reconciliation process that allows passage in the Senate with only 51 votes (Republicans have 52), is April 28, 2017.

Please be aware that repeal must come first, then, replace. A transition period is included in the repeal effort that gives Obamacare insurers and insured the time to transition to a replacement plan. Combining repeal and replace significantly jeopardizes the repeal process.

Friends, this is Citizens for Liberty/Valley Forge Patriots last event at the fire company until October(we will be hosting numerous outdoor activities in between times). We hope you join us on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5:

*Concerned Veterans 4 America’s mission statement:

To advocate for policies that will preserve the freedom and liberty that we and our families so proudly fought and sacrificed to defend.

The goal of Concerned Veterans for America is to translate the experience, concerns and hopes unique to veterans and their families into a common vision of freedom. We apply this unique perspective to speak out on issues that threaten to cripple not only our economic and national security, but the spirit of opportunity and liberty that all Americans cherish.

We are driven to organize and amplify that perspective to both the American people and our leaders in Washington.

*Northeast Church Security Network:

To provide a PRO-ACTIVE, HANDS-ON approach to places of worship security. To teach individuals the proper technique(s) for said action during an active shooter situation, a violent disruption, and a life threatening medical emergency. A unique emergency preparedness/first aid kit is needed for these instances. We explain exactly HOW to use, for example, a tourniquet, in such a dire situation. And to explain a proper evacuation procedure without causing harm or havoc.

-Now that we know the horrors and the amount of places of worship violence, even in our OWN communities, let us find out what we can EXACTLY do!

*Personal Emergency Preparedness/First Aid 101.

For home and outdoor use.

We will find out exactly what a “bug out” bag is, and what it should contain. What if you and your loved ones were forced out of your home due to a community or personal catastrophe? This, as well as other man-made, and environmental disaters will be addressed, and how to cope. A brief first aid lesson will be provided, as well as what plants are edible and poisonous, and what can be used if no medical emergency kit is available for your immediate use. This is an interactive presentation.

Our keynote speakers:

-Eve Allen; Director: Concerned Veterans 4 America-PA

-David Outland; Director: Northeast Church Security Network

-James Zerbe; Partner, Senior Board Member, Sergeant-at-Arms, Chaplain: Citizens for Liberty

“Give the working-man the right to work as long as he is healthy; assure him care when he is sick; assure him maintenance when he is old.” Otto von Bismarck, 1862. Jonah Goldberg, Liberal Fascism, 2007, 95.

Kevin Williamson, NRO: “Word Games”

“. . . “Deep State” is a term that has been around for a while, often being used to describe extralegal political action in authoritarian regimes, especially in Turkey. The “Deep State” became a favorite conspiracy villain of the American Left, who described it as a nexus between the military, militarized law-enforcement agencies, the intelligence community, Wall Street (of course), and a few powerful political and business figures. An invisible enemy is very handy for the Left: It could not possibly be socialism that has reduced Venezuela to its current condition — it must be Goldman Sachs colluding with the CIA. The “Deep State” is sometimes conflated with what the political theorist (and, later in life, outright kook) Sam Francis called the “permanent government,” the bureaucrats and apparatchiks and such who remain in power irrespective of the outcome of any given election. They were a lot less scary back when they were ‘the civil service.’
“‘Deep State’ and ‘permanent government’ of course refer to real things. The federal government really does have employees, and those employees do not change every time the composition of Congress changes, every time there is a presidential election, or every time there is a change in policy. And as we have seen everywhere from the LAPD to the IRS, government agents have interests of their own — political and economic — and will, from time to time, go to extraordinary and even criminal lengths to frustrate the intent of the people’s elected representatives, to flout policy, to undermine real or perceived opponents, etc. That’s what Mrs. Clinton’s e-mail shenanigans were really about: The chief bureaucrat in the State Department had (and, I suppose, has) political ambitions, and she was willing to go to great lengths to avoid ordinary oversight in order to pursue those ambitions.
“Where the current critics on the right go wrong — where they veer from criticism into conspiracy theory — is in assuming that the aims and ambitions of the various power centers within the federal bureaucracy are identical or aligned, that they represent a monolithic interest group that is both capable of coordinating efforts across the vast federal apparatus and inclined to do so. That creates exactly what the kooks and quacks and demagogues of the world most need: a nice, vague enemy that can be blamed for practically anything.
“It isn’t the ‘Deep State’ that is making President Donald Trump look like an amateur. It is amateurism. . .”

Andrew McCarthy, NRO: “Sessions’s Firing of 46 Obama-Appointed U.S. Attorneys Isn’t Scandalous”

“In March 1993, Janet Reno began her tenure as President Bill Clinton’s attorney general by summarily firing United States attorneys for 93 of the 94 federal districts (one, Michael Chertoff, was retained in New Jersey, at the request of Democratic Senator Bill Bradley). That is more than twice as many as Trump attorney general Jeff Sessions fired on Friday.
“Indeed, there were only 46 Obama-appointed U.S. attorneys left for Sessions to relieve because Obama appointees fully understood that this is the way things work. Many of them had already moved on, in the expectation that the president elected in November would replace them — an expectation that became a virtual certainty once it was clear that this change of administrations would be a change of parties, and visions. . .”

John Lockett, UK Sun: “KOREA SUICIDE -Donald Trump sends B-52 NUCLEAR BOMBERS to South Korea after North fires missiles at Japan and US warns of ‘overwhelming’ response”

“…North Korea and the US have been teetering on the brink of war for months after Kim Jong-un carried out a series of controversial missile launches.

“Earlier this week, trigger-happy Kim pushed his luck once more when he fired off four ballistic missiles into the seas near Japan.

“Now US military chiefs are reportedly planning to fly in B-1 and B-52 bombers – built to carry nuclear bombs – to show America has had enough.

“South Korea and the US have also started their annual Foal Eagle military exercise sending a strong warning to North Korea over its actions.

“A military official said 300,000 South Korean troops and 15,000 US personnel are taking part in the operation.”

John Bacon, USA Today: “WikiLeaks to provide tech firms access to CIA hacking tools: Assange”

“WikiLeaks has much more detailed information about CIA hacking techniques and will allow tech companies access so they can “develop fixes” before the information is more widely published, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said Thursday.

“The news conference took place at the Embassy of Ecuador in London, where he has been holed up since seeking asylum in 2012. Assange spoke two days after WikiLeaks published thousands of documents it said revealed hacking tools the CIA developed to break into servers, smartphones, computers and TVs.

“The Central Intelligence Agency lost control of its entire cyberweapons arsenal,” Assange said. “This is an historic act of devastating incompetence to have created such an arsenal and stored it all in one place and not secured it.”

Shane Harris & Robert McMillan, WSJ: “Authorities Question CIA Contractors in Connection With WikiLeaks Dump”

“Digital trail has pointed investigators to a team of developers working with CIA’s Engineering Development Group

“. . . Authorities on Thursday questioned a handful of contractors working in at least two locations in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., these people said. Law-enforcement officials said no arrests had been made, but one person familiar with the investigation said it was “rapidly unfolding.”

This person added that a digital trail has pointed authorities, at least initially, to a team of software developers working with the CIA’s Engineering Development Group. The group designs tools that, according to the documents released this week by WikiLeaks, the CIA uses to break into smartphones, personal computers and televisions connected to the internet. The more than 8,000 pages of documents that WikiLeaks disclosed appear to have been taken last December from a server that the Engineering Development Group uses, this person said, and that ‘only a few contractors would have access to.’ . . .”

Jordain Carney, The Hill: “McConnell: Tax reform unlikely by August”

“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Thursday poured cold water on the Trump administration’s goal of completing tax reform by the August recess.

“‘I think finishing on tax reform will take longer,’ McConnell said during a Playbook Live interview.

“Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said late last month that the administration wants to wrap up a long-held GOP goal of overhauling the tax code before lawmakers leave for a monthlong break.

“So we are committed to pass tax reform,” he told CNBC. “We want to get this done by the August recess.”

“The Senate is tentatively scheduled to leave town by July 31st and return during the first week of September.. .”

Andrew McCarthy, NRO: “FISA-gate: The Times Revises History in Real Time”

“For four months, media wanted us to think that Obama was investigating Trump; now they don’t.

“Now that the media-Democrat complex has been caught in its own web, there is some serious skullduggery underway. It’s revisionist history, Soviet style. You know, the kind where the bad stuff gets “disappeared.” The New York Times is disappearing its claim that Obama investigated Trump.

“For four months, the mainstream press was very content to have Americans believe — indeed, they encouraged Americans to believe — that a vigorous national-security investigation of the Trump presidential campaign was ongoing. “A counterintelligence investigation,” the New York Times called it.
“As I contended in a column this weekend, it was essential for the media and Democrats to promote the perception of an investigation because the scandalous narrative they were peddling — namely, that Trump-campaign operatives conspired with the Putin regime to “hack the election” — required it.
“Russia obviously did not hack the election. Russian intelligence services may have hacked e-mail accounts of prominent Democrats, although even that has not been proved. And there is even less evidence of collusion by the Trump campaign in that effort — as one would expect, in light of the intelligence agencies’ conclusion that the Russians sought to hack accounts of both major parties.
“So, for this fatally flawed storyline to pass the laugh test, the Left needed the FBI.  . .”

REPLAY – Ari Armstrong: Josh Umbehr, MD – $50/Month, $10/Month for children.

H.T. Sean Hannity!

“My model uses a membership plan with set monthly fees, rather than charging fees for office visits. It’s akin to the way a gym membership works. For a typical gym membership, we pay a monthly fee, not a separate price for each service. I don’t need another reason to not exercise. If it’s $5 to go to the gym, and I have to carry a bag of quarters to the treadmill, and lifting weights costs extra, that’s not efficient, and it’s not user-friendly. The same holds true in family medicine.

Part of the value of this model is that it accounts for the fact that the need for health-care services is unpredictable. People don’t know how much they’ll need, but when they need it, they want it, and when they want it, they want it right now, and they don’t want to worry about cost. An industry in which consumers—in this case, patients—can’t predict what they’ll use, how much it’ll cost, and how the cost will affect their lifestyle is not a consumer-friendly industry.

“The membership model of concierge medicine allows us to keep the cost per person low while maximizing the availability and quality of the services. By eliminating the third-party payer—insurance—when it comes to routine care, we get ourselves back to a model more consistent with the actual, marketplace purpose of insurance and the way it works in every other area where it applies: car insurance, homeowner’s insurance, life insurance. All these things insure primarily catastrophic events. You don’t have car insurance for gasoline, oil changes, tires, etcetera; why have health insurance for family-medicine primary care? . . .

“The affordability comes from eliminating the red tape; standardizing revenue with a membership model; using wholesale cost for medications, lab tests, and supplies; and reducing the number of employees needed to run a practice. Once you do this, health care becomes incredibly affordable. . .”

Washington Times: “Closing ranks to repeal and replace”

“This is the moment to drive a stake through the heart of Obamacare

“There’s ‘a time to break down,’ the Bible teaches, ‘and a time to build up.’ This is the moment for both, and the moment is called ‘repeal and replace.’ The end of Obamacare and the birth of the American Health Care Act are upon us this week, now that crucial parts of the proposed replacement law have been revealed. Securing a better health care system was the promise to the American people that put Donald Trump in the White House. Enacting a viable alternative won’t guarantee Mr. Trump a happy presidency, but failure to do it would guarantee a miserable presidency.

“The new Republican plan revealed Monday would use tax credits to offset the cost of health insurance — scrapping the Obamacare subsidies for lower-income Americans, the expansion of coverage through Medicaid, and the mandates and taxes that have encouraged public disdain for big government. The plan would preserve popular elements of Obamacare that enable children to remain on their parents’ plan until age 26 and prohibit insurers from penalizing those with existing medical ailments.

“The plan would make Planned Parenthood ineligible for reimbursement from federal funds. ‘We’ve been listening very carefully to our Republican members for months now to make sure we get it right,’ says Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. ‘I am confident we are going to pass this.’

“But passage will require threading a needle between conservatives who fear that tax credits, ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on income and age, could vastly increase costs. Democrats threaten to fight the plan if it costs some Americans their health-care coverage. With a 19-seat House majority and a two-seat advantage in the Senate, Republicans don’t have much margin for error.

“Some among the majority have chafed at having little opportunity to contribute to the process. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, who calls the replacement plan ‘Obamacare Lite,’ led reporters through the corridors of the U.S. Capitol last week searching for the draft bill, tweeting: ‘What is the House leadership trying to hide?’ Democrats joined the procession, delighted to help a Republican harass his own.

“House Speaker Paul Ryan called Mr. Paul’s antics ‘a publicity stunt’ and disputed Sen. Paul’s assertion that the health-care replacement is only slightly less dysfunctional than the Obamacare. ‘The things he described are not accurate,’ Mr. Ryan says. He says enacting the new law will proceed using ‘regular order,’ with opportunities for debate and amendments. There won’t be a repeat of Nancy Pelosi’s explanation of Obamacare that ‘we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.’”

Juliet Eilperin & Mike DeBonis, Washington Post: “Doctors, hospitals and insurers oppose Republican health plan”

“Major associations representing physicians, hospitals, insurers and seniors all leveled sharp attacks against the House GOP’s plan to rewrite the Affordable Care Act on Wednesday, as some Republicans publicly questioned whether the measure can clear the House of Representatives.

“While industry groups warned that the proposal could leave vulnerable Americans with fewer protections than they now have, GOP leaders pressed ahead, bringing legislation before two key committees that are expected to approve the bills by week’s end. They were also working in concert with the White House to win over conservatives, who have complained that the proposal preserves too much of the current law.

“The flurry of activity — including an evening meeting between President Trump and leaders from five skeptical conservative groups — created new uncertainty about the viability of Republicans’ signature promise to repeal and replace Obamacare. . .”

Robert Pear & Thomas Kaplan, NYT: “G.O.P. Health Bill Clears 2 House Panels After Marathon Sessions”

“WASHINGTON — The Republican drive to repeal the Affordable Care Act advanced on Thursday as two House committees approved broad legislation to undo the law and replace it with a more modest system of tax credits and a rollback of President Barack Obama’s Medicaid expansion.

“The House Energy and Commerce Committee endorsed the legislation on a party-line vote of 31 to 23 after a session that lasted more than 27 hours. The House Way and Means Committee had approved the measure in a predawn session on Thursday. The House Budget Committee must give its approval to the measure next week before a final House vote that Speaker Paul D. Ryan plans for the week of March 20.

“Republicans said they were fulfilling a political promise to uproot a law that had done untold damage.

“Democrats said the bill would rip health insurance away from millions of Americans and increase costs for many others, and they have the backing of a growing number of senators, health care providers and some conservatives. . .”

About Obama

“By 2012 all which was visible of US intentions was the fact that Pres. Barack Obama had left undisguised his wish for the US to retire from the global commons so that he could divide up the booty of a century of wealth creation.” Gregory Copley, 2012, Uncivilization, p. 36.
