Jenny Beth: Tea Party Patriots:
There is so much to do, and not a minute to waste! This is going to be a big week for us. First, Neil Gorsuch’s Senate confirmation hearings begin Monday and will likely go through Thursday. We need to do everything we can to support Judge Gorsuch during these hearings. Second, we need to keep the pressure on the GOP to get Obamacare repeal & replace right. The American Health Care Act is not a done deal yet, and it’s up to us to make sure it’s written the right way. Third, we’ve got to get our April 18th Tax Day Tea Party rallies planned and advertised! Showing up sometimes means being visible in our communities, and a tax day rally is the perfect time to be seen!
See below for a detailed to-do for Set Your Schedule Sunday, as well as an outline of the week’s schedule and actions. Make sure to visit our website for the details for each day of the week, as well as sample talking points and sample social media posts.
Never forget that without you and all of the effort you have put in – whether you’ve been working in the tea party for eight years, or you just jumped in recently – we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are going to repeal Obamacare. We are going to get a conservative justice on the Supreme Court. We are going to cut the federal budget. We are going to enforce our immigration laws. We are going to win again, and again, and again.
Monday: Messaging Monday
Get our message out through email.
Today is the day to write a letter to your Senators about quickly confirming Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court that you can deliver to their offices on Thursday. You should also email a short message today to both Senators about confirming Gorsuch, as the hearings begin today. Additionally, email a short message to your Representative about changing the current Obamacare repeal bill so that it is true repeal and done right. Finally, if you have a few more minutes today, email your friends and family information about Neil Gorsuch and why he is a great choice for the Supreme Court. And, if you need to send some emails to get your Tax Day Tea Party planned, start sending those today too.
Tuesday: Tweet It Tuesday
Help us spread our message on social media, especially on Twitter and Facebook. We will provide sample tweets.
Today we will use social media to send messages of support for Neil Gorsuch during his confirmation hearings this week. We will also post messages about changing Paul Ryan’s bill, the American Health Care Act, so that it becomes a true repeal bill.
Wednesday: Melt the Wires Wednesday
Let’s melt the phone lines on Wednesdays.
Today we are asking you to make calls to your Representative in the House to ask him/her to push for changes to Paul Ryan’s American Health Care Act so that it truly repeals Obamacare. We are also asking you to make calls to both of your Senators to express your support for Neil Gorsuch, and to tell them that you want them to quickly confirm Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court.
Thursday: Take It to the Streets Thursday
Each Thursday let’s take it to the streets with our signs and flags as you hold a street rally, house party, or visit a local congressional office to deliver the letters you wrote earlier in the week. We will give you the tools you need to organize a local event.
Today, people all across the country will get out and onto the streets with two important messages. Grab your flag and signs, and get out to a busy intersection or on an overpass and sign wave/rally in support of Neil Gorsuch and/or in support of #FullRepeal and #GetRepealRight.
Friday: Freelance Friday
Each week we will give the opportunity to multiply our impact broadcasting our message to a larger audience through letters to editor, comments on news websites, and letters to fellow Americans.
Today we are asking you to write a letter to the editor with your reasons for supporting Neil Gorsuch, and why the Senate should quickly confirm him to the Supreme Court. Our fellow Americans need to hear the truth about Neil Gorsuch because we know the Democrats and the mainstream media will be relentless in their attacks and their use of fake news to try and derail Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation. This is also a great day to make a few comments here and there on news articles online.”
Janet: April 5th, CFL/VFP
Friends, this is Citizens for Liberty/Valley Forge Patriots last event at the fire company until October(we will be hosting numerous outdoor activities in between times). We hope you join us on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5:
*Concerned Veterans 4 America’s mission statement:
To advocate for policies that will preserve the freedom and liberty that we and our families so proudly fought and sacrificed to defend.
The goal of Concerned Veterans for America is to translate the experience, concerns and hopes unique to veterans and their families into a common vision of freedom. We apply this unique perspective to speak out on issues that threaten to cripple not only our economic and national security, but the spirit of opportunity and liberty that all Americans cherish.
We are driven to organize and amplify that perspective to both the American people and our leaders in Washington.
*Northeast Church Security Network:
To provide a PRO-ACTIVE, HANDS-ON approach to places of worship security. To teach individuals the proper technique(s) for said action during an active shooter situation, a violent disruption, and a life threatening medical emergency. A unique emergency preparedness/first aid kit is needed for these instances. We explain exactly HOW to use, for example, a tourniquet, in such a dire situation. And to explain a proper evacuation procedure without causing harm or havoc.
-Now that we know the horrors and the amount of places of worship violence, even in our OWN communities, let us find out what we can EXACTLY do!
*Personal Emergency Preparedness/First Aid 101.
For home and outdoor use.
We will find out exactly what a “bug out” bag is, and what it should contain. What if you and your loved ones were forced out of your home due to a community or personal catastrophe? This, as well as other man-made, and environmental disaters will be addressed, and how to cope. A brief first aid lesson will be provided, as well as what plants are edible and poisonous, and what can be used if no medical emergency kit is available for your immediate use. This is an interactive presentation.
Our keynote speakers:
-Eve Allen; Director: Concerned Veterans 4 America-PA
-David Outland; Director: Northeast Church Security Network
-James Zerbe; Partner, Senior Board Member, Sergeant-at-Arms, Chaplain: Citizens for Liberty
-7-9p.m. (doors open at 6:30)
-Included is a free potluck dinner buffet (feel free to bring a snack, dish, or simply enjoy. Plus a ticket, upon entrance, for 1 of 2 fabulous random door prizes)

We will be holding many outdoor activities each month, in between this respite. Please share this with your family and friends in the tri-state area. YES! We have guests that attend from MD, DE, NJ, and NY. -Thank you.
Janet: Obama Care:
There are no more excuses for not repealing Obamacare. Establishment Republicans are, nonetheless, dragging their feet on what was a major campaign promise. We are hearing that liberals are calling Congress in massive numbers to ensure the survival of socialist medicine and the ‘death panel’. Conservatives must act asap.
The deadline to repeal Obamacare, with the reconciliation process that allows passage in the Senate with only 51 votes (Republicans have 52), is April 28, 2017.
Please be aware that repeal must come first, then, replace. A transition period is included in the repeal effort that gives Obamacare insurers and insured the time to transition to a replacement plan. Combining repeal and replace significantly jeopardizes the repeal process.

Victor Davis Hanson, NRO: “Law Takes a Holiday”
“And anarchy follows.
“In the 1934 romantic movie Death Takes a Holiday, Death assumes human form for three days, and the world turns chaotic.
“The same thing happens when the law goes on a vacation. Rules are unenforced or politicized. Citizens quickly lose faith in the legal system. Anarchy follows — ensuring that there can be neither prosperity nor security.
“The United States is descending into such as abyss, as politics now seem to govern whether existing laws are enforced.
“Sociologists in the 1980s found out that when even minor infractions were ignored — such as the breaking of windows, or vendors walking into the street to hawk wares to motorists in a traffic jam — misdemeanors then spiraled into felonies as lawbreakers become emboldened.
“A federal law states that the president can by proclamation “suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.” Yet a federal judge ruled that President Trump cannot do what the law allows in temporarily suspending immigration from countries previously singled out by the Obama administration for their laxity in vetting their emigrants.
In the logic of his 43-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson seemed to strike down the travel ban based on his own subjective opinion of a president’s supposedly incorrect attitudes and past statements.
“Some 500 “sanctuary” cities and counties have decided for political reasons that federal immigration law does not fully apply within their jurisdictions. They have done so with impunity, believing that illegal immigration is a winning political issue given changing demography. In a way, they have already legally seceded from the union and provided other cities with a model of how to ignore any federal law they do not like. . .”
SPIES on YOU:
James Rosen, Fox: “Potential ‘smoking gun’ showing Obama administration spied on Trump team, source says”
“Republican congressional investigators expect a potential “smoking gun” establishing that the Obama administration spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the president-elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee this week, a source told Fox News.
“Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretapped him in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.
“The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.. . .”

S. J. Prince, Heavy: “WikiLeaks Vault 7 Leak Claims CIA Bugs ‘Factory Fresh’ iPhones”
“A new WikiLeaks Vault 7 leak titled “Dark Matter” claims, with unreleased documents, that the Central Intelligence Agency has been bugging “factory fresh” iPhones since at least 2008. WikiLeaks further claims that the CIA has the capability to permanently bug iPhones, even if their operating systems are deleted or replaced.
“The documents are expected to be released after an 11:30 a.m. EDT “press briefing” that WikiLeaks promoted on its Twitter.”

“The latest leaks from WikiLeaks’ Vault 7 is titled “Dark Matter” and claims that the CIA has been bugging “factory fresh” iPhones since at least 2008 through suppliers. The full documents are expected to be released after a 10 a.m. EDT “press briefing” that WikiLeaks promoted on its Twitter . . .”
Austin Wright, Politico: “Nunes claims some Trump transition messages were intercepted”
“House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes declared Wednesday that members of Donald Trump’s transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under inadvertent surveillance following November’s presidential election.
“The White House and Trump’s allies immediately seized on the statement as vindication of the president’s much-maligned claim that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower phones — even though Nunes himself said that’s not what his new information shows.
“Democrats, meanwhile, cried foul. . .”
InfoWars: WND: SERIOUS CLAIM: FBI’S COMEY ‘FALSELY’ DENIED SURVEILLANCE
‘Orwellian Big Brother’ intrusion on Trump, other citizens in public and private sector.
“The lawyer who founded Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch, Larry Klayman, has sent a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, asking him to look at a whistleblower’s evidence of “systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, again including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly.”
That spying was done, Klayman’s letter contends, by the FBI.
It’s become a major issue following President Trump’s assertion that he and Trump Tower were spied upon by the federal government, and the subsequent denials by intelligence and law-enforcement officials, including FBI Director James Comey, who famously cleared Hillary Clinton on accusations she mishandled classified information as U.S. secretary of state. . .”
Roger Simon, PJM: “Time to Investigate Obama, not Just Trump”
“House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff is in high dudgeon over the bad form of House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes in reporting his bombshell — that the chairman had been shown actual surveillance (not involving Russia) of the Trump transition team and possibly of the then president-elect himself — to President Trump before he presented the evidence to the committee.
“Bad form, quite possibly. But so what?
“The facts are what they are.
“What appears at this writing is that Trump transition team members and possibly Trump himself had their identities revealed, were “unmasked” in the parlance, while foreign diplomats were being surveilled. The identities of American citizens were not sufficiently “minimized,” as they are required to be by law. This is a crime one would assume would put the perpetrators in prison. So far it hasn’t. More than that, such behavior is a grave threat to a free society, to all of us.
In effect, Trump was wiretapped — if not in the corny, old sense of the word, something very close. Technologically, he was wiretapped, as were several (actually many) others.
A fair amount of this happened not long before Barack Obama suddenly changed the rules regarding raw intelligence, for the first time ever allowing the NSA to share its data with 16 other intelligence agencies, thus making the dissemination of said data (i. e. leaking) many times more likely. That was done on January 12, 2017, just three scant days before Trump’s inauguration. Why did the then president finally decide to make that particular change at that extremely late date, rather than on one of the previous seven years and three hundred fifty-three days of his presidency? You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes or Watson to smell a rat. . .”

Susan Cornwell & Amanda Becker: Reuters: Trump demands support in do-or-die Friday vote on healthcare plan”
“Trump and his fellow Republicans had pledged to replace Obamacare, which they view as too intrusive and too expensive.
“But, after a week of calling Republican lawmakers and bringing them into the Oval Office for meetings, Trump failed to close the deal with two different factions within his party on time for the planned Thursday vote.
“Conservatives felt the bill did not go far enough to repeal Obamacare and moderates felt the plan could hurt their constituents. House Republican leaders had signaled they were ready to work through the weekend to figure out a way to reconcile their differences.
“As the healthcare drama unfolded on Capitol Hill, Trump played it cool, taking a break from negotiations to hang out with some truckers, climbing into the cab of a long-haul transport truck parked on the back driveway of the White House, and blowing the horn a few times.
He told reporters the vote would be close but he remained optimistic. “I think we’re doing well. We’ll find out in about three hours,” he said, just as reports began to surface that the vote had been postponed. . .”
Max Greenwood, TheHill: “GOP rep: Once bill passes, lawmakers can ‘really explain it’”
“Voter opposition to the Republican healthcare bill is the result of misunderstanding, and lawmakers will be able to “really explain it” once it becomes law, Rep. Chris Collins said Thursday.
“In my district, right now there’s a lot of misunderstanding as to what it is we’re doing,” the New York Republican said on MSNBC. “And once we get it done, and then we can have the chance to really explain it.”
“Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was famously excoriated by Republicans for her 2010 comments regarding ObamaCare that “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
“House leaders postponed the floor vote on the bill on Thursday in the face of mounting GOP opposition, and are expected to take up the measure on Friday. While it has the backing of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and President Trump, the bill is facing fierce opposition from conservative and some moderate Republican lawmakers — and united opposition from Democrats.. . .”
Leo Knepper, CAP: “Spending money to save money?”
“Only politicians could come up with ideas this inane: spending money to perform a study that determines how to save money.
“Yes, you read that correctly, and it’s exactly what Governor Tom Wolf did recently.
“One of the main conclusions Gov. Wolf’s “money-saving” study came to was in fact promising – by combining the state’s two major pension systems taxpayers will save millions. We at Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania (CAP) are glad the study reached this conclusion, as it’s an idea we proposed over two years ago.
“Unfortunately, the study cost taxpayers $1.8 million. Money well spent? We think not.
“That’s because Gov. Wolf didn’t ask for input or ideas on costs savings from the General Assembly or taxpayer advocacy groups like CAP.
“This is yet another example of government officials wasting taxpayer dollars in an effort to appear as if they’re working for you.
“Foolish endeavors like this cost real money, your money. They must be stopped.
“At CAP we’re committed to keeping the heat on legislators, including our Governor, to ensure they remember who they’re in Harrisburg to serve. But we need your support to do so.
“In order to continue spreading the word to voters about what’s happening at the Capitol we need to raise $5,000 before the end of March.
“CAP is honored to stand in the gap for citizens each day, voicing the concerns of Pennsylvanians to ensure our Commonwealth puts its people ahead of its politicians.
I hope you’ll consider making an investment in Pennsylvania’s future today.”
Sy Snyder, PoliticsPA. 3/24 Ups & Downs
“Scott Perry. Congressman Scott Perry (R-York) is one of few Republicans to hold an in-person town hall. Many Republicans in the state have faced criticism for not facing voters in town halls since the start of the year. Some have done tele-townhalls, but have not gone face-to-face with the voters in their districts in a pre-scheduled town hall. Perry stood in front of the crowd and took his lumps.
Seth Williams. The Philadelphia District Attorney was indicted this week on federal corruption charges.
Dave Reed. By continuing to dodge questions about his plans for 2018, Majority Leader Dave Reed (R-Indiana) has been able to keep clean from the contentious issues like the AHCA.
AHCA. The American Health Care Act has had up to 37 Republicans come out against it, including three from Pennsylvania. This has pushed back the vote on the bill despite Trump and Ryan’s lobbying for the bill.
Christopher Pez. Christopher Pez, the Allentown Mayoral candidate, was kicked off the ballot after it was revealed that 17 of his signatures were from outside of Allentown, putting him below the 100 signatures required.
197th District Voters. The voters of the 197th House district have been without representation for months after the second representative in a row was indicted and had to resign. Problems with the Democratic candidate caused them to be kicked off the ballot, leading to only one name on the ballot, who got fewer than 200 votes. The voters won’t know until later this morning who will be their representative. It is hard to remember a district with this many problems all at once. Hopefully it is over by the end of today. “
Mark Levin, 3/22/17
“On Wednesday’s Mark Levin show, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has discovered that the intelligence community did collect information on American citizens involved in the Trump transition team. These innocent Americans’ names were unmasked and were widely disseminated around the intelligence community. These names were revealed in scores of reports that were brought to him by an unnamed source. In addition, this had nothing to do with Russia. If it is not in the course of an investigation between the Trump world and Russia why would the intelligence community have unmasked the names of U.S. citizens? Rather than protecting these American citizens the intelligence community chose to circulate them through intelligence reports. President Trump needs to see what is out there on him in these reports. The question should be who ordered this?
“Have you noticed how quiet members of the last administration have been? There is a conspiracy of left wing silence. If this had been the Obama transition team and we had any inkling of this kind of information, the media, and even Republicans would be very adamant about tracking it down.
“Later, Sen Mike Lee calls in to talk about the GOP’s replacement plan for Obamacare. People pushing this bill seem determined to get it to pass even though it’s a bad bill. What is it about Republicans that they abandon repealing Obamacare? We want more choices. Federalism and free markets bring about more competition and bring costs down. Adding amendments to this bill is not going to fix its fundamental flaws. Also, a lot of congressman [sic] have been told this is the best we can do under current Reconciliation rules, but this is not true.”
