Jenny Beth: Tea Party Patriots:

There is so much to do, and not a minute to waste! This is going to be a big week for us. First, Neil Gorsuch’s Senate confirmation hearings begin Monday and will likely go through Thursday. We need to do everything we can to support Judge Gorsuch during these hearings. Second, we need to keep the pressure on the GOP to get Obamacare repeal & replace right. The American Health Care Act is not a done deal yet, and it’s up to us to make sure it’s written the right way. Third, we’ve got to get our April 18th Tax Day Tea Party rallies planned and advertised! Showing up sometimes means being visible in our communities, and a tax day rally is the perfect time to be seen!

See below for a detailed to-do for Set Your Schedule Sunday, as well as an outline of the week’s schedule and actions. Make sure to visit our website for the details for each day of the week, as well as sample talking points and sample social media posts.

Never forget that without you and all of the effort you have put in – whether you’ve been working in the tea party for eight years, or you just jumped in recently – we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are going to repeal Obamacare. We are going to get a conservative justice on the Supreme Court. We are going to cut the federal budget. We are going to enforce our immigration laws. We are going to win again, and again, and again.

Monday: Messaging Monday

Get our message out through email.

Today is the day to write a letter to your Senators about quickly confirming Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court that you can deliver to their offices on Thursday. You should also email a short message today to both Senators about confirming Gorsuch, as the hearings begin today. Additionally, email a short message to your Representative about changing the current Obamacare repeal bill so that it is true repeal and done right. Finally, if you have a few more minutes today, email your friends and family information about Neil Gorsuch and why he is a great choice for the Supreme Court. And, if you need to send some emails to get your Tax Day Tea Party planned, start sending those today too.

Tuesday: Tweet It Tuesday

Help us spread our message on social media, especially on Twitter and Facebook. We will provide sample tweets.

Today we will use social media to send messages of support for Neil Gorsuch during his confirmation hearings this week. We will also post messages about changing Paul Ryan’s bill, the American Health Care Act, so that it becomes a true repeal bill.

Wednesday: Melt the Wires Wednesday

Let’s melt the phone lines on Wednesdays.

Today we are asking you to make calls to your Representative in the House to ask him/her to push for changes to Paul Ryan’s American Health Care Act so that it truly repeals Obamacare. We are also asking you to make calls to both of your Senators to express your support for Neil Gorsuch, and to tell them that you want them to quickly confirm Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court.

Thursday: Take It to the Streets Thursday

Each Thursday let’s take it to the streets with our signs and flags as you hold a street rally, house party, or visit a local congressional office to deliver the letters you wrote earlier in the week. We will give you the tools you need to organize a local event.

Today, people all across the country will get out and onto the streets with two important messages. Grab your flag and signs, and get out to a busy intersection or on an overpass and sign wave/rally in support of Neil Gorsuch and/or in support of #FullRepeal and #GetRepealRight.

Friday: Freelance Friday

Each week we will give the opportunity to multiply our impact broadcasting our message to a larger audience through letters to editor, comments on news websites, and letters to fellow Americans.

Today we are asking you to write a letter to the editor with your reasons for supporting Neil Gorsuch, and why the Senate should quickly confirm him to the Supreme Court. Our fellow Americans need to hear the truth about Neil Gorsuch because we know the Democrats and the mainstream media will be relentless in their attacks and their use of fake news to try and derail Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation. This is also a great day to make a few comments here and there on news articles online.”

Janet: April 5th, CFL/VFP

Friends, this is Citizens for Liberty/Valley Forge Patriots last event at the fire company until October(we will be hosting numerous outdoor activities in between times). We hope you join us on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5:

*Concerned Veterans 4 America’s mission statement:

To advocate for policies that will preserve the freedom and liberty that we and our families so proudly fought and sacrificed to defend.

The goal of Concerned Veterans for America is to translate the experience, concerns and hopes unique to veterans and their families into a common vision of freedom. We apply this unique perspective to speak out on issues that threaten to cripple not only our economic and national security, but the spirit of opportunity and liberty that all Americans cherish.

We are driven to organize and amplify that perspective to both the American people and our leaders in Washington.

*Northeast Church Security Network:

To provide a PRO-ACTIVE, HANDS-ON approach to places of worship security. To teach individuals the proper technique(s) for said action during an active shooter situation, a violent disruption, and a life threatening medical emergency. A unique emergency preparedness/first aid kit is needed for these instances. We explain exactly HOW to use, for example, a tourniquet, in such a dire situation. And to explain a proper evacuation procedure without causing harm or havoc.

-Now that we know the horrors and the amount of places of worship violence, even in our OWN communities, let us find out what we can EXACTLY do!

*Personal Emergency Preparedness/First Aid 101.

For home and outdoor use.

We will find out exactly what a “bug out” bag is, and what it should contain. What if you and your loved ones were forced out of your home due to a community or personal catastrophe? This, as well as other man-made, and environmental disaters will be addressed, and how to cope. A brief first aid lesson will be provided, as well as what plants are edible and poisonous, and what can be used if no medical emergency kit is available for your immediate use. This is an interactive presentation.

Our keynote speakers:

-Eve Allen; Director: Concerned Veterans 4 America-PA

-David Outland; Director: Northeast Church Security Network

-James Zerbe; Partner, Senior Board Member, Sergeant-at-Arms, Chaplain: Citizens for Liberty

-7-9p.m. (doors open at 6:30)

-Included is a free potluck dinner buffet (feel free to bring a snack, dish, or simply enjoy. Plus a ticket, upon entrance, for 1 of 2 fabulous random door prizes)

-Cash bar available for non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Self serve coffee

-We are beginning our summer food drive. You are encouraged to bring (but in no way mandatory) non-perishable food(s) and beverages. These will be given to needy families within the 5 county area(s) when applicable.

-This is Citizens for Liberty/Valley Forge Patriots final event at the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company, 170 Allendale Road, until October, when we return with a BANG! We will be holding many outdoor activities each month, in between this respite. Please share this with your family and friends in the tri-state area. YES! We have guests that attend from MD, DE, NJ, and NY.   -Thank you.

Janet: Obama Care:

There are no more excuses for not repealing Obamacare. Establishment Republicans are, nonetheless, dragging their feet on what was a major campaign promise. We are hearing that liberals are calling Congress in massive numbers to ensure the survival of socialist medicine and the ‘death panel’. Conservatives must act asap.

The deadline to repeal Obamacare, with the reconciliation process that allows passage in the Senate with only 51 votes (Republicans have 52), is April 28, 2017.

Please be aware that repeal must come first, then, replace. A transition period is included in the repeal effort that gives Obamacare insurers and insured the time to transition to a replacement plan. Combining repeal and replace significantly jeopardizes the repeal process.

Brody: Fascists in Philly

Sunday morning TV news: Trump supporters march and so do a gang of people all on black boots, pants, shirts, and masks. Those dressed in black wave fists and shout “Down with fascism!” Fascism refers to large governments with lots of rules. Remember, FDR, Hitler, and Mussolini admired each other. And Wilson’s fantasy was to create a government that did all things for everyone. And Philadelphia actively supported the National Recovery Act and still follows the Blue Eagle of price controls but it now rides on football jerseys.

Jordain Carney, The Hill: “Rand Paul takes victory lap on GOP health bill”

“Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) quickly declared victory on Friday, praising conservatives for “standing up against ObamaCare Lite.”

“‘I applaud House conservatives for keeping their word to the American people,’ Paul said in a statement.

“Republican leaders pulled their bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare on Friday afternoon, acknowledging that it was headed toward defeat.

“Paul — who has been a top antagonist of the House bill — added that “I look forward to passing full repeal of ObamaCare in the very near future.”

“Paul and other House conservatives have offered an alternative repeal bill that mirrors 2015 legislation cleared by Congress but vetoed by then-President Barack Obama.

“The bill would effectively separate repeal and replace into two separate pieces of legislation, a move that would likely draw pushback from a coalition of moderate lawmakers.

GOP lawmakers haven’t signaled that they are preparing to take up another healthcare bill, instead telling reporters that they didn’t have a plan B. . .”

Andrew McCarthy, NRO: “Islam and the Jihad in London”

“It’s not non-Western. It’s anti-Western.

“It was a careful choice of words, Bernard Lewis being nothing if not careful. In 2004, the West audibly gasped when its preeminent scholar of Islam famously told the German newspaper Die Welt,’Europe will be Islamic by the end of the century,’ if not sooner.

“Listen carefully. He did not say that Muslims will be the majority population in what is still recognizably Europe. No, Professor Lewis said “Europe will be Islamic.”

“We are not talking about Muslims here. We are talking about Islam. Lots of individual Muslims desire peaceful coexistence, even assimilation. But Islam’s aim is to prevail. So, yet again this week, Lewis’s foreboding has been brought to the fore by a jihadist mass-murder attack, this time in London.
“As we go to press, five innocent people are dead after Khalid Masood, a terrorist acting on unambiguous scriptural commands to war against non-Muslims, rammed his rental Hyundai SUV into dozens of pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, many of them tourists taking in the iconic views of Parliament. About 50 people suffered injuries, some of them grave, so the death toll may yet rise.
“Masood, a burly 52-year-old weightlifter with a long criminal record that included vicious stabbings, then crashed the car through the gate at Westminster Palace, home of the West’s most venerable democratic legislature. He alighted brandishing two long knives, which he used to kill Keith Palmer, a police officer who, pursuant to British policy, was unarmed despite being assigned to provide security at one of the world’s foremost terror targets. Masood was finally shot dead by a protection officer attached to England’s defense minister.
“There immediately began the ritual media pondering over Masood’s motive.

“Yes, what could it possibly have been? . . .”

S. A. Miller & Dave Boyer, Washington Times: “Trump moves ahead with plans for tax cuts after health care failure”

“Democrats to dig in against massive code rewrite

“President Trump is leaving behind the failed health care bill and forging ahead with plans for massive tax cuts, but the same forces that doomed the repeal of Obamacare — united opposition from Democrats and divided Republicans — threaten the rest of his ambitious agenda.

“Doubts about Mr. Trump’s ability to cut political deals and whether he has willing partners on either side of the aisle have clouded the outlook for not just tax cuts but also his plans for a massive infrastructure program, trade deals and financial reform.

“Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer signaled Sunday that Democrats would dig in against Mr. Trump’s plans for the biggest rewrite of the tax code in a generation if, as expected, the across-the-board rate cuts include the wealthy.

“‘They don’t need another tax break,’ he said on ABC’s ‘This Week.’

He also balked at Mr. Trump’s plan for an infrastructure program and proposed spending reforms.  .  .”

Ashley Parker & Philip Rucker, WaPo: “Trump taps Kushner to lead a SWAT team to fix government with business ideas”

“President Trump plans to unveil a new White House office on Monday with sweeping authority to overhaul the federal bureaucracy and fulfill key campaign promises — such as reforming care for veterans and fighting opioid addiction — by harvesting ideas from the business world and, potentially, privatizing some government functions.

The White House Office of American Innovation, to be led by Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, will operate as its own nimble power center within the West Wing and will report directly to Trump. Viewed internally as a SWAT team of strategic consultants, the office will be staffed by former business executives and is designed to infuse fresh thinking into Washington, float above the daily political grind and create a lasting legacy for a president still searching for signature achievements.

“‘All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognize that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays,’ Trump said in a statement to The Washington Post. . .”

Susan Ferrichio, Washington Examiner: Democrats push McConnell toward nuclear option on Gorsuch”

“Senate Democrats are beginning to line up against Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, increasing the chances the Senate will enact a “nuclear option” that would thwart the minority filibuster for high court picks.

“Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., the minority leader, announced he would vote against Gorsuch, an expected move, but one that could set the tone for rank-and-file Democrats on the fence about his nomination.

Sens. Bob Casey, D-Pa., Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., and Tom Carper, D-Del., also announced opposition to Gorsuch, and the list is likely to grow significantly. . .”
